I waited to buy one of these at launch and when i saw the spec i kept my money, how can this be £60 more than LG's G4. The G4 has the same CPU a better bigger screen a better camera SD, and removable battery. the only upside is updates quickly but the G4 either has 6.0 or it will have. People is that worth £60 of your hard earned cash and before people say well this is a 32gb version the G4 is 16gb that makes no difference as Marshmallow fully supports SD card storage.

To all the people on here comparing this phone to other phones, maybe try and compare this deal with other prices out there then based on that information you can gauge if it's a good deal or not. If this is the cheapest you can get this phone for then it's a good deal for someone looking for this phone.

Go onto a Ford Fiesta deal and vote it cold purely because in your opinion it doesn't compare to a Vauxhall Corsa.

well this is gna get android 7.0 but lg might not, so this is more future proof then the lg

this will get 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0. lg4 will probably get 6.0 but that will be it, making the nexus much more future proof.
Along with a fingerprint reader, no bloatware and much better size (for me anyways), nexus is the winner here. If only it can break the £300 barrier I'd be in!

I was weighing up 5X vs G4 for a while, but the bricking problem with certain hardware revisions in the G4 concerns me. I also want something that'll last for at least a couple of years and not need me to faff around with alternative ROMs as time goes on, so I'm going to give the Nexus a go.

it's a great mobile but g4 is the better mobile, even if it don't get updates after 2 years, but who has a mobile longer than 2 years?!??

If it gets to £299 I'll probably bite.

The 5x is still too dear for what it is, yes it's a nexus and you get pure android experience , but that's it.

The G4 imo is a better phone, do remember that LG were one of the first companies after nexus to release marshmallow, have to give them credit for that.

Tempting, but think it's an awkward price point. Similar price or more expensive to the galaxy s6 and lg g4. Cheaper budget phones with better hardware in some parts.

But a very good fingerprint sensor with quick updates. The security updates being especially important with fingerprint and eventual android pay.

Compared to the two LG G4's we have just bought this does not seem such a good deal. For all the reasons noted already the G4 just offers so much more than this phone. It should be priced closer to £200 for it to be a worthy buy.

Expensive for what it is. The Nexus 6 appears to be the better deal at the moment. I'll stick with my old trusty Nexus 5 for now.

Really, really wanted this phone as an 'upgrade' for my Nexus 5, then I went instore to check it out in real-time...much, much too big - for me. I relatively small increase on paper, in reality just not compact enough compared with (again, for me) my own Nexus 5. Keep looking...

had one of these and had to give it back. was too big, very laggy, and the vibration motor was too loud. very disappointing indeed.

Flubit has offered me this for £315. I'm very tempted to bite as I love my Nexus 4, which is just starting to get to the point it needs replacing (i've had it for 2 and a half years, flash doesn't work, sometimes it turns itself off - just getting annoying but it still generally works fine). Are there any good reasons not to? Or should I bite?

When Android was in its infancy I got that the Nexus was a future proof device. Now that the OS is mature and very well developed I don't see the point of hankering over future OS releases. New hardware and software is providing diminishing returns. The LG G4 seems like best value for money phone and any reason to replace that will more likely be because its broken not because its obsolete.

Am I the only one who feels that all this talk about other handsets like the LG G4 offering so much compared to this 5X for the same money is unfair?

The LG G4 has depreciated heavily since release, so surely it's unfair to compare it to the 5X which has only recently been released.

If you compare the official RRP of each handset, the 5X would look a lot more appealing. Personally, I think both the Nexus 5X and 6P are competitively priced.

This has the worst build quality of any phone at this price point. Truly awful plastic with rattly buttons. The price is a farce

I'm in the same boat. Still running the nexus 5. Although I'd disagree that the nexus 6 is a better option. Too bloody big.

John Lewis will price match Carphone Warehouse if anyone is interested

just tell them you have the right to return until Jan 31 and it is not worth all that hassle and they rather give you the refund for the difference instead!

S6 & G4 are much better and can be had for less.

I had the Nexus 4 for 2.5 years and switched to an s6 when I saw how laughably mediocre the 5x was and how much Google was charging.

Stock Android is so over rated it's not even funny. I thought Touchwiz was litterally the devil from what I read online but it basically just adds a few features for everyday normal people to make life easier. Big deal.

I won't go back to a Nexus decice now as they are always plagued by poor build quality i.e crap lock and vol buttons, crap cameras, crap battery etc. etc. There's always a compromise.

I suggest you look at the Nexus 6P then if its in your budget...it eliminates all the issues you mentioned about previous Nexus devices.

Fast software updates and years of support are the only advantages of the Nexus phones, they used to be competitively priced too.

We've been Nexus users for years but this year they are simply far too expensive when you can get other comparable flagship phones for less.

I've gone from a Nexus 4 to an S6 and bar a bit of bloat ware, it'seems an incredible upgrade and didn't cost the earth.

The 5x is very over priced for the spec, not a bad phone and this may be the best price, it's just there's other options which provide better value for money.

Out of my price range. £450 when my s6 was £350. Also not a fan of the bar code scanner, nor the size.
