That's because it will bounce back off the windscreen and you can't view anything just bright light. Thankfully cars have them headlight things for dark nights

Hi everyone I just got a brand new 2016 reg car and I wanted to buy a dashcam for it that I can connect to the cigarette lighter or has a good battery on it so can be charged up. What's the best one to go for in terms of video quality and battery life ? I want one that will last. If anyone could let me know that would be great. Thank you
Got one of these in both our cars, paid for its self already when someone pulled out without looking or indicating into the side of us. They are very basic but quite small - I did buy the 402 but this is huge and I couldn't hide it behind the mirror like the 101.
Easy to setup and really long cable so it can be hidden behind the trim. I would also reckoned getting a piggyback fuse and connecting a cigarette lighter adapter to it, then all the wire can be hidden. This way you don't need to cut any wires in the car.
However it's this cheap for a reason, as soon as it gets dark you cannot make out any details more than 6ft in front of the car.

Sorry but it will only let you view that page if you are a member. The Transend 200 was bang in the middle of the pack with an HP and a Miio at a slightly similar price just behind it.
The ones at the top were around the £150 mark, sorry I can't remember what makes they were and I haven't got the Which password with me.

I've owned a few branded dashcams that have all fcuked up within a year but no problems with the transcend 200 after 18 months which comes with a manufactures 2 year guarantee aswell & is far the best video quality compared to others, the only downside is the physical size of it /recorded sound is really quiet (that's if you want 2 record audio )& the silver ring which makes it very noticable from outside the car but i supose that could be a good thing letting muppets know they're being recorded

Didn't score very well in the Which Best Buy table (28% I think?). The Transend 200 scored higher at around 50%

1080p is the minimum to look for in a dashcam. Spend £41 on the far superior Mobius ...
Great camera for the price.
I've been using this as a **** facing camera for a good while now, without issue.
