This is a nonsense. From a probability point of view, you are much more likely to die in a regular traffic accident (there are literally *thousands* of traffic-related deaths all over the world every single day) than in some 'major terrorist attack' that happens extremely rarely (but sure, it is attracts huge media attention). The probability of dying in a terrorist attack (even if you take 'dangerous' routes and visit 'dodgy' places) is so low that is not even worth bringing into the equation. It is orders of magnitude more likely that you simply get mugged and knifed by some lowlife scum in your neighbourhood.
If you want to improve your chance of survival in this world you could start with being more careful when driving / crossing the road (or eating more healthy, and so on...) - it is much more efficient tactic than avoiding something just because it 'might' be a target of terrorist attack.
Sad thing is that your attitude clearly shows that terrorists' plan is working pretty well so far - fueled by the paranoia in the media, according to which we now live in the warzone.

most of these flights have 1 stop/change with flight times of more than 12 hours (one 18 hrs!) on what should be a 7 hour flight, you can fly direct for a little more

What a numpty. So are you going to let the fear get into you by some people?
Like other posters have said, I reckon you should stay indoors and just have fruit and detox for a while. Eat healthy, sleep on time and ps don't work as stress doesn't kill. Lol

NY is a great city. Seems a good deal at first glance...
Be worried about the flight though.
Seeing the photo in the ISIS Daqib magazine... of the tiny Coke can used to blow the Russian passenger plane out of the sky, shows how hard it is to stop a what is now a 'Caliphate'/virtual state about the size of England, replete with vast resources of inventive chemists and engineer's from a population of millions from blowing up planes
What are the facts here?
1. The latest ISIS threat is now directly against the USA/UK.
2 Half of 700 UK citizen jihadis have travelled BACK from Syria/Iraq, (EU law means we cannot control our borders, stop them for being a threat, revoke citizenship etc..) (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32026985) Most of those have fought for ISIS. That means at least 300 UK citizen jihadis with blood on their hands back here at large. I don't think they are back to play tiddleywinks, like the EU would have us believe.
3. The downing of a passenger plane on a massively popular route like London - NY route is absolute prime target and would spread massive, massive terror and panic.
Will take a miss on this one.

You're probably right. In fact if you flew from Gatwick you'd have to go to London and would probably get blown up or shot there. That would also mean going on public transport for me which presents another potential danger of terrorism. In fact I think I'll just stay indoors FOREVER and read and watch things that constantly drill into me how much of a real possibility there is that I will be murdered by evil terrorists. Or will they get me in my house too???.......

what has this got to do with the actual deal, all your post serves as stated already is to let terrorists win in changing your life choice, yes sooner or later no doubt an incident will happen but guess what sooner or later we are all going to die anyway, maybe your unlucky with you past experiences quoted or maybe you just let your imagination let you get carried away.
As for the actual deal for 7 nights it appears a great deal except for the stated long flight times, if they could be more reasonable then this is a great deal

Frankly, it's just a matter of time before current airport security is thwarted by ISIS.
Why expose yourself to unnecessary risk?
That's because the current security measures are designed for a TOTALLY different sort of terrorist threat - the threat of a relatively DIY-level suicide bomber operating in a autonomous cell, with limited donar funding and largely the cell itself providing bombing materials and techniques, directed by a primitive leadership - on the run.
Before the recent Tunisia beach massacre, (killing 38, of which 30 British), just a few months earlier, there was a similar massacre at a nearby museum which killed 26 western tourists. Nothing really changed security wise to prevent another attack, but again - a total underplaying of the risk - it was simply deemed a one off, the status quo endured, even as the threat had proven to have evolved and had easily defeated the existing security measures.
So, a inevitable repeat attack happened only a few months later, ONLY THEN it somehow became news to people that Tunisia was a destination that was dangerous, and massively enhanced security measures should have been put into place after the first attack.
The ISIS attack on the Russian plane killed 224 people, and, again. is now being blamed on lax security at Sharm and, again viewed as a one-off, and the risk of another elsewhere is again being underplayed.
The existing security measures, status quo are unchanged, even as the threat has greatly evolved and the security has been proven to have been defeated.
With ISIS we have the resources of a whole (defacto) state, now capable of highly sophisticated techniques and delivery undreamed of by Al-Queda. This may involve sophisticated nerve gas, poisons etc.. smuggled aboard which can kill thousands, not only hundreds - all of which can easily bypass the 100ml liquid toothpaste etc.. limits testing only for explosive.
To illustrate this evolution of threat - contrast the incredible access to resources ISIS have compared to the Al Queda. Just one single ISIS held city, Mosul, Iraq has population of 1.5 million people (down from 2 million) - with all the University's, Phds, chemical factories and labs etc.. you would expect from a city the size of Manchester.
And, the population (in the main) support ISIS.
With such a threat, there IS no safe level of liquids or hand baggage items. With Al-Queda we had the luck of having a hapless Al-Queda bomber like Richard Reid trying to light the plastic explosives hidden in the sole of his shoes with a match, while they smoldered due to being damp from rain puddles he trod in earlier. With ISIS, Shoe bombs would work flawlessly.
I have nearly been killed 3 times by attempted terrorist incidents in the past 15 years, In 2001, 2009 and 2014. Frankly I now know whats a risk not worth taking. For all the above reasons, right now I wouldn't risk it.

As usual from this op, title needs to include dates, duration, from, and the number of persons the deal price is based on. Apart from that it's a hot deal.

Looks like Hilton DoubleTree Met.
Whilst I can't speak for the Met, the Hilton Doubletree Chelsea was perfectly good for a 5 night stay with a few friends in August (in a slightly better location too in my opinion) but this one is fine!
