The subscribe and save price fluctuates. The last cappuccinos I bought (in November) were £8.92 for 3 boxes (= £2.97 per box). That's with the 15% discount I get for having 5 or more subscriptions.

Subscribe and save not as cheap as it used to be. ASDA 2 for £7 is good.

I think this price is the norm for the time of year.I buy a new machine every year between Black Friday and Boxing Day and have never paid more than £29.00. There's a model in Tesco currently for £22.00.

I think Nescafe make very little money from the sale of the machines. Most of the RRP must go to the retailers as an incentive to promote the brand, which is why shops are able to make these huge discounts.
Like inkjet manufacturers and their cartridges, Nescafe make their profit from the consumables. I get through at least one box of cappuccinos (8 drinks) a week. That's over £160 per year at Amazon subscribe-and-save prices (which is the cheapest source I've found).

Some of the Dolce Gusto machines have a dial to automate the amount of water it dispenses. You set it to the level marked on the coffee pod. I don't think this version has that feature, so you have to manually shut the water off.

It's crap, you have to choose when you think enough water has passed through the pod and turn it off yourself. !!!! Took mine back!

I have a Bosch Tassimo but I don't use it any more because I find the drinks taste watery and never seem to be quite hot enough.
I've owned a few Dolce Gusto machines over the years (yes, they do break down after a couple of years). My favourite is the one I currently have, the "Mini Me". It has the dial-in dosing control that this Oblo lacks. Currently £34.50 at Amazon. It comes with a pack of 6 pods plus you get £10 to spend at the online Dolce Gusto shop when you register.
Just bought this a few days ago in Tesco for £39.95. Now i'm taking it back.. Lol

A good price, but to put the deal into more perspective, the price on Amazon has been between £35 and £50 over the last 9 or 10 months or so for this model.
