Free 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 with this motherboard. Not a bad package. Motherboard is from MSI and for the new Z170 platform aka Skylake. The board looks to have RGB lighting too which is pretty cool for the price.
The Corsair DDR4 model is CMK8GX4M2A2400C14R which looks to be going for around £45 so a good saving to be had!

I'm seeing it as £125.74 now. with no mention of bundled RAM, have I just missed out on this one?

You'll want an aftermarket cooler anyway, the Intel stock coolers are awful, fiddly pieces of **** to install and not that quiet either. A lot of builders prefer to get the chip OEM rather than the retail package because of this reason.

is MSI any better than they used to be? I know they was known for stock that liked to stop working a lot of the time.

This is tempting but the 6600k is just so damn expensive atm.

Yeah you'll need a cooler. Plenty of cheap ones around £15-20 good for Overclocking.

Cheers, can see a 6600k for £197, but I'll need a cooler from what i understand with that chip. The last things I need is case and psu.

Yeah looks like 2 sticks by googling the product code. Good value and you could stick another 2x 4gb for 16gb total. Personally I'd want to be opting for 8gb sticks if I was building a new pc but that's me. Hot!

Probably a mistake. Check the model number. Likely they meant to say 1x 8GB kit not stick.

is there a disadvantage of 1 stick over 2?
BenChand to cowsindahouse

Main disadvantage is if your 1 stick breaks, you're scuppered

2 X 4gb can be used in dual channel mode which is better. Dual channel doubles the communication between the memory controller and RAM,

i just payed 80 for a z170-g43 and 38 for 8gb of ddr4, for the black. If you're building a black and red system i guess this is the equivalent deal
