Glad to see others backing me up on this issue - crazy that a big brand company can produce a product that cannot cope with a simple software update - pity as I loved the look of the phone and size was fine - rumours that there will be a big price reduction 3rd January so may come back to it then.

It must be fairly common as I am quite technical and recently upgraded to nexus 6 and it happened to me, took it back to the shop, they ordered me another and set it up infront of me in store and it happened again needless to say I didn't get a third!

Ooooh great. A psychic. Can you tell me when s6+ edge will dip below £250 please?
Iv returned my nexus 6 to expansys for a few reasons, one was a noise in the speakers, you can notice that by putting your ear next to speakers and press some home keys. 2nd it was heating up last week

It's actually a very common problem think it happens with the update to 5.1 put nexus bootloop into Google and you'll see, I've had it happen on my nexus 6 and 9! doing nothing more than updating via OTA.
For anyone buying this phone make sure you do all the updates to 6.0 then put your Google details as this seems to reduce the chance of it bootlooping.
I got the Motorola deal as above - but when setting up phone, it went into permanent reboot mode when updating to 5.1 - it is common problem with Nexus devices - my advice is to wait for Marshmallow - am returning the phone for refund - now have LG G4 Voda deal - got it unlocked with ebay code.

Marshmallow has been out for the Nexus 6 for some time and has already had an update. My new N6 arrived yesterday morning, and it updated itself to 6.0.1 with absolutely no problems.
Bootloops only seem to happen to people who have unlocked the Bootlocker and then try to lock it again without going through the proper process - and even then it's easily sorted out. I have certainly never had any issues (and I've had a rooted Nexus 6 since last January, which has always been immediately updated with every new version of Android).
You did mention on the other thread that you are not particularly technical. I think that might be the root of the problem, rather than (incorrectly) claiming that it is a common problem with this phone. It isn't.

Not a problem (common or otherwise) with Nexus devices. This is the first I've heard of it.

I just paid £263.50 for the 64Gb version thanks to this thread, so difficult to see a 32Gb for £4 less as hot.
