Lg g flex 2 is better than this in almost every way and also with a curved screen which is a great design pro

The processor and GPU on this really lets it down compared with the snapdragon 810. I know this because I have an lg g flex 2 and a samsung Galaxy a7 and the lg far outperforms it not only in benchmarks but in real world use.
The only advantage of this phone is that it will receive fast updates and maybe slightly better rear camera

I wouldn't use the Samsung A7 to compare anything - Touchwiz and the bloatware makes Samsung phones perform really badly for their specs. Motorola phones tends to make the most of their specs because they are practically Nexus in software.
UPDATE: from one review of the X Play " Likewise, its performance in Geekbench 3 is actually on par with the Snapdragon 808-based LG G4 with scores of 708 and 2,567 in the single and multicore tests respectively. This also outstrips many of its Snapdragon 615-based rivals, such as the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 and Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, giving the Moto X Play an extra speed boost worthy of its slightly higher price." I'm happy with that.
