Yes, there was an option to upgrade to 16GB. Think it cost an extra £30.

£30 for the ram upgrade but not sure you will have a option in moto maker as the phone is purchased via three.

There was an option to upgrade to 16GB for £20 or £30, I can't remember the exact amount.

Popped in to the Camden store at 10am yesterday, managed to pick it up for 109.99 including the prepaid sim which is a **** considering they couldn't just top up my sim. By thhe way, I can confirm the handset is unlocked, the sales assistant clarified this at the counter.

Has anyone with a pin code tried upgrading to the 16gb/2gb version from the 8gb version on moto maker? It seems as though some people think it should be possible, but I got the impression (possibly wrongly) you went to Three's own version of moto maker to customise the phone, so the 16gb upgrade option wouldn't be available. I've tried asking Three through their live chat, but couldn't get a proper answer.

It was £109.99 sim free with no top up required. I didn't want the Three top up anyway so it effectively became the same price. I have prime so delivery will be tomorrow

They give you a card with a pin code on it and you have to order online (free), but that means you can customise the colours, etc and it arrives in the post in 3 to 5 days.

They had both at 11am this morning, pay as you go and contract. St stephens had one, but contract only. I don't see a difference, so presume they just wanted commission from the contract.

Presume it will be unlocked as all Three devices are.

Web site out of stock, called around 9, but said they only had it for contract. Found a store local to me (Hull - King Edward Street) with stock and bought, didn't even have to pay the £10 top up as already have a contract with them.

Tried to place an order online but it failed. Had a chat session and Three say order didn't go through although there's a pending payment showing on my credit card account. Not very impressed with Three. Ordered from Amazon instead!

​the Wileyfox Swift does run Android it's just not stock Android like a Nexus etc.

It uses Cyanogenmod OS, comes with the playstore etc.

I don't know if this helps but my second gen Moto G is a 3 phone and has very little bloatware , just the My3 app.

Moto G 4G had bang for buck spec at that time but this 1gb RAM on 3rd Gen is gimmick.

IMO wileyfox swift took that place from Moto G. I ordered one and wait to see.

Display quality? Same 5.0" screen with exactly the same pixel count. --- 720 x 1280 pixels (~294 ppi pixel density)

Shame Motorola didn't stretch to a 1080 screen. Initial reports said they would, but it seems not.

We each got a Moto G 2nd gen 4G (£95 deal at Tesco; thanks to HUKD).
This model not got sufficient improvement to warrant replacement.
Gonna hold out for something a bit more special. Hot though, for those buying afresh!

This phone will be unlocked, but will most likely be branded with 3 bloatware, such as the 3 boot screen, my3 etc. This cannot be removed unless you are prepared to root the phone. They may insist you buy a top up of at least £10 in value too.
