Iv'e been using mine about a week now, and I must say it's a pleasant upgrade from using my Nexus 4. The screen size takes a little getting use to if you're use to a smaller screen, but all in all it's a fantastic phone with an impressive camera for the price.
The only downside I've come across so far is I find the screen to be a little less responsive than my Nexus, and I'm not keen on the menu lay out either, but I'm sure I'll get use to it : ) .

Amazon Logistics are quite something. Hilariously, the tracking page on amazon.fr that tells me they lost the parcel tells me to contact amazon.fr to tell them they lost my parcel. If I click on the provided link, it takes me to a feedback page which contains the same tracking information, but if I choose "where is my parcel?", it brings up an FAQ entry suggesting I go back to the tracking page.

Just looking at the seals on the bottom speaker. It seems to have lines on it that the top one hasn't, I'm hoping is not damaged.

I received my pair late on Friday. Will setup later this evening. The returns label is Amazon UK for anyone who has issues with theirs. Was tempted to send one back and get the LG G4 but this is double the price so not sure it's really worth it. The Moto G3 is decent enough to get me through next 12-18 months before new range of phones come out.

It's strange that some deliveries are taking so long, I received mine on Wednesday.

​It will, the 1st gen Moto G had a blue cast to its display, whereas the 3rd gen and 2nd gen are much more neutral (more accurate), they can look yellow in comparison to the 1st gen.

Well I can just to say feel it after 10 minutes or so, on about 20% brightness.

Not even warm? I haven't been using much but was installing lots of apps. I can understand the battery getting warm but not the display :smiley:

Finally got my phone today... already setup and using.. only downside is the screen is getting warm/hot on use.. did anyone else notice this? or did I get a defective piece?

Don't know, was a unmarked van. Funny think was all the packaging points to it coming from the UK but the note inside is in French.

Think mine came with ups. Very happy so far very easy to set up as it defaulted to English (upgraded from 1st generation) awaiting new SIM card.

Mine arrived today and also came with Euro plug and the cable is attached to it which is a bit of a shame as an extra USB cable never goes a miss!

Does come with earphones though which look to have an in-line mic which is a bit of a bonus.

Packaging is in French but phone language defaults to English.

Now I just need work to hurry up and pass so I can play with it!!

Stagefright fixes aren't automatically included in 5.1.1. The Moto G 3rd was release with 5.1.1, but received an OTA shortly after release to add the stagefright security fix.

Finally had mine shipped today but saddly also had the card charged by the looks of it too :disappointed:

I paid by debit card and it was dispatched this morning but no money has been taken.

Security fixes are in 5.1.1 and 6.0 (as far as stagefright goes at least, I'm not aware of any other big issues at the moment I confess)

Thank you. Perhaps there was a degree of hyperbole in my post. I didn't mean to say Lenovo had completely abandoned updates for non-X phones. It just seems that the pace and scope has declined since the take-over. Security patches are still the big concern anyway, not the release of buggy major versions.

Was tempted, but held off. Motorola seems to have abandoned updating its phones since it was taken over by Lenovo, at least if we are talking about non-premium lines (the X line may get something).

This bothers me because of the lack of security updates more than anything. I couldn't care less about Google shovelling a whole lot of buggy new APIs down my throat with each major version, nor even about the bugs that are never fixed in the minor versions, but zero security patching is a problem.

I think buying flagships that are 6 to 12 months old in the £250 to £300 region gives you best value in the Android space, but this deal was certainly as good.

I curse the exstence of the more widely sold 1GB version, because it condemns the whole product line to a short update cycle. Lenovo won't offer software just for the 2GB version, even though it could technically be long-lived.

​I bought a Nexus 6 from Amazon fr earlier this year and it did come from France.
good news (?) is that when it suffered from the dreaded bulging battery I returned it to Motorola in the UK and they had replaced the phone within a few days so I'd imagine that moto g purchased from France would also be sorted by motorola in the UK.

I am a die hard iphone fan,was once a Galaxy fan. Regarding the Moto 3rd Gen I would truly say it has the same capabilitys as both phones if not better. I feel embarrassed of my ignorance that other phones today are equally as good as the top rated phones today yet this is a 3rd of the price. Moto G Quad core processor and 4G with a battery life that beats 90 per cent of other phones hands down. You will not go wrong buying this phone and now my contract as gone down to £17.00 per months instead of £43.00 per month. Great buy and a great phone open to all networks. Purchased, bought and using, and can't see any difference using this phone as to top rated phones 5 times the money cost. Rated AA++ Voted hot.

I just bought this for my girlfriend. Worked out at £130 in total for me which included delivery (I have a euro denominated credit card so was able to pay euros). Seems like a really good deal on a Sim Free 16GB/2GB version of this phone.

Yes, you can get it cheaper than this if you are using a card which does not charge conversion fee's. For me the Amazon conversion price is cheaper than using my Barclays debit card.

Edit: scratch that, it was slightly cheaper for me using my Barclays debit card, with the visa exchange rate and 2.99% fee. £133.98

If I am not mistaken, that is £126 if you can use a no fee credit card like the Halifax clarity card?
