This deal is for the 2nd Gen Moto X (32GB) which was £250 for Black Friday but is now down to £220 (£210 with discount code below).
Discount Code: UKWELCOME10
Please note that the 16GB model is now SOLD OUT hence why they have lowered the price of the 32GB model. Also ALL backs (leather, wood, standard etc.) don't appear to cost anything when they used to cost around £20 extra I believe.

This seems like a good deal; particularly since it wasn't offered in the black Friday sale.
Battery looks quite small, but the inclusion of 4k video recording is a big plus.
Heat added.

Thank you  people may say it's outdated etc etc. but it's still the best price for one and you can add any of the backs too via Moto Maker for free! Also 32GB was a £50 extra last week and now it's only £20 due to them selling out of the 16Gb models

No cost option for wood or leather with 32gb . A scorching deal . I bought the 32gb model in black from Amazon Germany in July for £220 . It's an excellent phone , never had a problem with the battery , and it charges really quick .
If you need a new phone go for it .

Yep this is 32GB option which was £250 on black Friday and 16gb was £199 on black Friday but is now sold out.
And as scunnered said the back covers are now free instead of their usual £20

If this had a larger battery it would have been an instant buy, but it looks like it has a really small capacity for a screen that size.

I'm gonna say it will be A LOT longer now. I ordered yesterday and mine still isn't even showing as Order Accepted which is the second stage after placing your order. Current ETA for delivery is 14th Dec but I'm doubtful of that

Said it once said it a hundred times, the original moto x is a decent battery away from being the best phone ive ever used. I would actually still have it now if it wasnt as bad as it is

This or Moto X Play?
Picard123 to Chris1910

Matter of personal preference I suspect as they're pretty similar. Battery-wise easily goes to the X Play and it probably has a slightly better camera but to actually use, it's hard to quibble with the X 2nd Gen particularly with its better AMOLED screen, gesture and voice controls and design individuality. The X Play is just too big to handle for my liking. If you're not heavy user ie battery or photo buff, I'd probably go for the X rather than the X Play. If the opposite is true, the X Play is probably a better. All depends which features sway you.
It is a great bit of kit and my battery is actually pretty decent. I did turn off the voice command though as I rarely ever used it and have a smart watch for that purpose.
That said with Bluetooth on all the time and paired to the smartphone, all the other gimmicks on and wifi or 4g always on it lasts a day.
I do carry an anker QC2.0 power bank with me which is pretty awesome, plugging it in for 10-15 minutes gives you about 5-6h extra life. The bigger battery would indeed make this phone way better, but I as a heavy user manage.

Yeah, there's a turbo charger for it:
"Like a slew of other flagships, the Moto X includes Qualcomm's QuickCharge 2.0 tech and Motorola says its forthcoming Turbo Charger will get you eight hours of additional battery life on a 15-minute charge. "

Went for this deal - thanks OP. It's a Xmas present for the wife - any recommendations for a high quality cover / case?
sheppy1
7 Dec 15#37
Your welcome  and I'm unsure about the case recommendations as I'm going nude with this phone (never done that with any phone before in my life) as I want to feel the leather back I chose. Sure someone on here can help.

I've ended up with this one - it's cheap, well reviewed and, most importantly, transparent!
Struggling to find anything more 'classy' but it will do for a start - she can keep it, change it or use the phone without it.

Great phone. Just updated to marshmallow, it visibly improved battery life. Might not be the best spec out there, but its absolutely rock solid, never any issues or crashes. I'll take that any time over bit faster, but less stable phones.

Yeah I re-ordered a black front one and it was built and delivered in about 6 days too! Great phone
