It gets pretty decent reviews at £38. At £2.49, it's certainly not 'rubbish'...and I would go as far as to say that it is a bargain compared to some of the crap that gets posted on this website.

Master lock are the worst locks in the world they are all opened without a key in seconds

Considering those reviews are based on a price of £38.49 I'm not surprised that people feel grieved when screwfix have them for £2.49.
But anyway out of 108 reviews the majority 43% are 5*, 19% 4*, 20% 3*, 6% 2* and 12% 1*, so not quite as bad as you are trying to make out is it, and bear in mind £2.49.

In what way is less than half "a majority"‽

There's nothing wrong with saying 'majority' in that context.
If we were analysing population metrics, and were looking at a hypothetical country where the break down was;
....then the latter three would be considered 'minorities', and Hispanic, the majority.

He is correct in saying that the majority of votes are 5 star votes.

No, the majority of votes are not 5*. There are more votes that are not 5* than are 5*.

The majority, 62%, rate the product as either a 5 or 4-star buy. Good enough for me.

£2.49 or £38, if it's rubbish it's rubbish.
a lock can't be "good for the money", if it can be broken / broken into in seconds. that would mean it's not fit for purpose and if a would-be thief then got access to, say, your housekey then it's going to cost you a lot more than £2.49 in the long run.
having said all that, why do I still want one? :smile:

Think people have the wrong idea about this, obviously not a high security item, but handy for keeping say your desk , filing cabinet or locker key in at home or in the office, better than just throwing it in an open draw.. Even mange to get a USB stick in the one I bought.

It's only got three dials, so wouldn't take long to guess the correct combination.

If the 3 dials only go from 1-6 then there's only 216 possible combinations. Trying one a second it's going to take you 1 min 48 seconds on average, without any tools needed. Perhaps just long enough to make any would-be thief decide he can't be bothered, but not exactly high security.

But we aren't talking hypotheticals, which, like statistics, can be twisted to suit any required outcome, this is real life ;-)

People got really carried away with one word Majority , Dictionary states that majority is the largest part or number of a group of items. People confusing "Majority" with "Overall Majority" which require over 50%
