Of course it still is, and when ours from the UK are finished, they can be imported, and available all the year round as they have been since the 1970s at least. What country are you living in?

That may be you opinion. Its not mine. Maris Piper are Maris Piper no matter where you buy them from. I was in Aldi yesterday, and bought some Maris Piper. There were also 4 other varieties of potato available, and carrots at 29p a kg. Perhaps you have something against Aldi carrots too. Or perhaps the truth is you don't shop at Aldi.

Nope, except for parsnips Morrisons offer either bigger packs (2kg vs 1kg, 750g vs 500g) or better produce (Maris Pipers vs general 'white potatoes' (described as best for mashing).
Onions you only get there... 4kg for a quid?
