Picked this up yesterday in Asda, Strabane. Marked down from £19.99. Had quite a few in stock, not sure availability elsewhere. Great claims on battery usage, 2 yrs keyboard, 12 mths mouse. May well retire my old Creative as the mouse seems to be sore on power.

I have this set, bought about 18months ago. Mouse batteries after 5months. Keyboard batteries still going.

sounds like something i'd do
weird strategy for getting rid of them though - but then i suppose having random stores reduce them at random times creates a "buzz" that makes people want to go searching for them.

They were on ebuyer one night about a year ago for silly money. I thought for a while, whether I wanted/needed one, long enough for them to be sold out.:disappointed:

Might have to pop down and grab a couple of these because Asda in Omagh is crap for this sort of stuff.

tired and bored, most certainly
i'll always remember the day i found my microsoft set (which is still going strong today). i saw it on the bottom shelf of the computer section of asda and nearly screamed (obviously a very manly scream..). i think it would have taken a small army to pry it out of my hands while i raced to the checkout.
Now you're tired and bored, yet, in some small way, satisfied.

it's not local, these deals have been randomly appearing in various random asda's throughout the country for a few months now. this is probably the 5th such deal i've seen posted for this set.
it's similar to a few years back when you could pick up the microsoft wireless 800 keyboard and mouse set in asda for £5. it was a total goose chase and absolute luck of the draw and the only time i've managed to beat the geese and find one

I just happened to look at this yesterday in my local Asda, it was marked as £16.99 I think.. So must be local.
As it happens I already have one of these keyboard, its great, expect it has started to occasionally hang (keyboard that is, mouse if fine), but a change to the Filter Keys in Windows 7 seems to have fixed this (I only did the change yesterday, and so far its been fine).
