Can anyone confirm if these are national? I asked in Harlow B&M and they said they only stock mouse traps in the summer as it is a seasonal item. When I mentioned the deal here I was told one store must have found a box left over!

Had these before, triggered a few times but no sign of a mouse, then i opened up to peek in and the wee **** jumped out in my direction. Wee bit of pee pee came out, I can tell you. After that if it triggered i shook it into a box.

It's actually illegal to release some pests back into the wild! Don't know if mice are on that pest list but you should probably check first.

These should be banned you are just moving the problem on to someone else. Big cheese traps from Amazon much better option. Mice and rats cause damage and spread disease so these really are not a sensible option.

They say cats solve mouse problems but ours creates a mouse problem by bringing them in live to play with on the kitchen floor.

These look a cheap option, so worth buying , but if you leave the back door open and a family comes in they soon multiply and chew anything in sight . Peanut butter makes the best bate with bread crumbs.

Find out where there runs are, like along a skirting if in a room and place along the run. Some blighters are wary of anything new, so with snap traps it is best to leave them a couple days unset, before you spring them into position.
I found the best way is to buy mouse and rat poison from Wilko, their own brand version, is just as good as any other but cheaper.
Other methods are ultra sonic scarers and the electrocution type trap which gives them several high voltage shocks.. These boxes are also battery operated for portability as well as mains and are cheapest when bought from China, the usual companies mentioned here who supply electronic goods.

Also some vesrions of the 99p shop sell the glue traps, which work out cheaper than ebay,but overall I would recommend Wilko poison placed in any small saucer or dish with bread.

Double bag the dead ones and place in the black bin, not the brown recyclying bin.

Seriously who gives a damn about pests? If I has a problem with mice I would just want them dead.

If you release a mouse far away it will probably be attacked and killed by other mice, sometimes
humane isnt really humane.

Have some heat - good price! The last time I used a snap trap it caught it's hind leg (!) and ran across the floor still attached to the trap!

I have used these to great effect in the past. Caught a number of the blighters. Just remember to release the mouse over a mile away. Believe me, they can find their way back. I used chocolate as bait.

Resorted to the old fashioned in-humane type and much less suffering for future mice! :wink:

Used these for a couple of weeks with little success. As sad as it may be we switched to proper snap traps and caught several straight away and solved problem before any damage was caused.

have used the black version of these, they aren't humane. You're supposed to check them every 6 hours. After the first few days you stop checking, you forget it's up there. the next thing you'll hear is what sounds like a rat jumping around the attic. You'll spend the next 2 days thinking you need a rat trap instead. You finally remember what you put there, you go up and check the mouse trap to find a mouse hardly breathing having **** and **** itself. You hit yourself in the face shouting WHY DIDN'T I JUST GET THE SNAP TRAP INSTEAD>>>WHYYYYYY....WHYYYYY!!!???"

edit: having used the snap traps, sometimes the mice lose their heads...it's not pretty.

I had a live mouse trap. Thought it was the most humane way to catch the little blighters in my garage. It caught one, but certainly not humanely as the poor thing defecated, had a heart attack and died whilst inside! :disappointed:

Capture & release to neighbour from hell or if you got good neighbours, use mouse glue boards & baseball bat.
