not sure this the light can be swtiched on using wall swtich and not fully relying on remote. Last month bought LED ceiling light with remote and i was told by manufacturer Livarno Lux that, to switch on light using wall switch i have to use 3 on-off cycles. lidl customer service are best and agreed return and refund.

Bought one earlier today and installed it this afternoon.

Lovely bright light, speaker quality good. Turning it off resets the light and the bluetooth from the settings you had tweaked to (not necessarily a bad thing). Light can be overridden using the remote so you can keep music playing without needing the light on. I've installed mine in the bathroom and plenty loud enough to be heard over an electric toothbrush and a pumped shower. As for the price, would pay that for a speaker....

I go into the kids room at night to check if they're ok. If I turn o the the light at 2am and suddenly "turn down for what" is playing really loud I wouldn't be best pleased.

It turns on and off with a standard switch. It wont work without power so you can then leave it on at the switch and use the remote.

It is not IP rated so usual rules apply when installing. It states not to be installed on a wall which is damp....

These are sold for over £100 when not Lidl branded, another Lidl bargain!

How bright do they go would it be bright enough for a living room or just smaller rooms?

Can anyone who has bought one of these tell if the lights are replaceable or do you need a whole new light fitting when the 'long-life' bulbs die??

Does this have to be connected to a light fitting?

Do I need an electrician for this? I tried to turn it on yesterday but it seems to need connection to the electrics.

I've bought one several months ago, and it has started blinking heavily, about twice a second. Have to keep it off. Seems lamp is not replaceable, so I have a junk gadget in the ceiling!

the speaker can controlled by mobile via blue booth, does this lamp can also controlled by mobile? it seems has a remote contol to adjust the brightness and volume....
