Thanks for knowledge sharing, You are right & I tried one as well but I think they are not MFi so if you update your IOS that cable won't work!

These are not "Poundland type cables" - far superior quality. My family and I have about 4 of these from the last promotion - all still working. They are about 1.5m long (unlike Poundland) and are made from a really good quality cable - go to Lidl, take one out of a box and have a good look.

They work fine but are more rigid and less flexible.
Pound land are cheaper and flexible so less likely to break.

Incorrect, thicker means better quality when it comes to charging cables. It's why many cheap thin micro usb cables cap out at 500ma charging rate when the better quality thicker ones such as Anker, Aukey, Volutz etc. charge at 1.5a+.

So wrong, I purchased two of the Poundland cables and they dont even work, keep getting message saying not compatible and may damage phone! Off to Lidl to try these as least I know the phone will charge then.

Fun fact: using a USB amp meter for the readings and using the stock apple charger with this cable, it charges my iPad ever so slightly faster than the stock Apple cable.
Didn't surprise me really because the thickness of the cable and the build quality was clearly better than the Apple original.

Poundland cables are 1m long for coloured, or they do a 2m long in white only. I have 5 of them from poundland, both 1m & 2m, for car, work, home, laptop and powerbank. They all work fine for me. It's the Apple battery that I don't like!!!! Why should I need 5 leads? It's a mobile but Apple seam to think it should be corded to last a day!!!!

Must be a regional thing, because two of my mates who work for them have discount cards and get 10% off.
