I just got a 300 watt one from currys £129.99 it's epic sounds amazing. plus a £50 sound stream cable which I managed to haggle him down to £18 bargin

My LG is 5 years old and has optical I got the tesco LG 100w soundbar and its remote works both soundbar and tv. Happy for £60. It's not HiFi but its a step up from tv speakers. Daughter loves it for streaming Spotify from her iphone

Mine is a 2015 LG model and comes with optical, can't vouch for other models available from LG. Mine is the LG 42LF580V.

Any sound bar should allow you to connect from your headphone jack on the tv to 2 phono at the back of sound bar which allows any sounds played to your tv will be played on the sound bar, mine allows me to play audio though the tv and sound bar as it has duel sound but my other tv in kitchen wont allow this so I lose the tv sound and only get the sound though sound bar no matter what device it is .
