Just wondering how you would mount one of these if you have your TV on a wall bracket? Do you mount it separately underneath - which presumably means more drill holes in the wall?

50 watts is a bit weak though.

Is it just me or is the only connection to your tv optical (i.e quite a few people might not have optical connection)? Was hoping to actually use for my pc but again no optical and cant be bothered buying a new sound card!

TY for the reply thought I had miss read or something. I'd say could be a few unhappy buyers if they didn't notice.

Yeah have been debating those or a soundbar. Soundbar would save a little room on my desk as room under/infront of monitor. The gigaworks are too deep to sit on the upper top part of my desk because of the back it has and they would have to sit either side of my monitor instead.

They would sound better there.

have my current ones shelf above the monitor kinda to either side. My own fault really shouldn't have been greedy and bought a smaller monitor and I'm afraid any bigger desk wouldn't fit in the space I have lol.

Would never buy another LG product after the terrible customer service I received. Just pray it doesn't go wrong!

Just my opinion, but nipped into Curry's a little while ago to test out some soundbars. They didn't have this exact model, but the next one up which is the same except it had a subwoofer (which this one doesn't). Wasn't really impressed as it wasn't very loud and lacked any kind of punch in the sound. Tried a Samsung HW-J250 and it sounded a lot better so bought that one instead. It just sounded more clear, louder and punchy. But it did cost £35 more, so maybe not a fair comparison.

no LG post purchase customer service is really poor (especially smartphones) but they do make damned good products that dont really go wrong too often

has anyone got this? any good?

Do these things sound as good if placed just behind the TV?
