I have been waiting for this to go down in price ( brown) but didn't happen for black Friday. I know there have been a few G4 deals on here recently but this is a UK model with 2 years LG warranty and particularly the brown leather one has been a bit more expensive. Other colours also available at the same price : white, grey and black leather. Delivery is free if you're not in a rush otherwise you will have to pay more

Work 6 days a week and just had a nightmare with yodel. Delivered when I was out and then their system would not accept a Saturday delivery. Even after talking with several operators by phone and web (got through by luck as talking to an operator is not an easily achievable option by phone). Was promised a Saturday and then it was withdrawn and I had to travel 40 minutes drive to pick up only to find that the pickup office was closed as the operator had given me the wrong opening times.
I have bought various items from ebuyer over a prolonged period of time but I would not buy from them even with their very competitive prices if I knew that the item was being sent by Yodel. Be warned.

There are 2 types of official case:
1: Snap on circle view £10-12.50 in retail packaging on ebay. Fits over the existing phone back, various colours.
2: Wireless charging circle view, replaces the current phone back, adds wireless charging.
All circle view functions are the same on both cases, changeable watch face in the circle, notifications, answer calls, read sms, use camera, use music playlists, LG Health app and you can add more I think, all accessible without even opening the case. Just a double tap on the circle. Brilliant IMO.

Or just buy a Nokia 3310, better will last longer and no need to disable the "smart" in "smartphone".
In all seriousness though, battery drain was horrible on marshmallow. It's the first android device I've ever had this kind of drain on before. I'm not gonna spend days on end troubleshooting with wakelock detectors and disabling every feature the phone has just to make it through a day of light usage.
Oh and I'm confident that ebuyer are either selling returns or repackaged customer returns too. Going purely on what I received. Businesses do it all the time, even reputable ones.
Good example is the nexus 6p. Just found out the one I was selling on here was actually registered to another users Google account before mine, so they couldn't find the imei linked to my account (was querying warranty transfer), yet it was bought " brand new" from Google play store. I caught them with their pants down, and they immediately offered me a refund or replacement no questions, for a phone that was over a month out of the return period.
Sadly, ebuyer suck at returns. Should have spent the extra 20 and got it from amazon.
Also for those wanting a slightly more expensive alternative, the moto x style is excellent with the marshmallow update. The units on amazon are also brand new out of the factory, where as carphone warehouse units are old stock with dodgy vibration motors.

Seems like you may need a firmware update: V10f-SEP-04-2015
- OTA route or through the
- LG Bridge computer software, which is available for Windows and OSX.
The new software version is listed as V10f-SEP-04-2015
Software version: V10f
Below is the list of improvements:
Reduced fuel consumption and heating of the smartphone
Implemented a limiting brightness of the display when the temperature is too high
Changed the icon selector brightness in the notification bar
Added a security warning when you turn up the volume too high using headphones, in accordance with EC directives
Added the "Taking the cheese" in the camera to take the picture saying "cheese!"
Fixed some anomalies of disconnection with bluetooth equipment mounted on BMW 5 Series
Improved performance of Wi-Fi in sleep mode
Added hot key to hold and retrieve a call
Update Google Mobile Suite
Implement the latest security patches
Clean master might be a good fallback if all else fails.

Thanks OP. I'd been hanging on for a BF deal but this looks like the cheapest it will be for a while from a UK dealer. I'd forgotten eBuyer used Yodel - the last thing I'd bought from them was in 2011 and I swore I'd never use them again. As it happened, ordered Wednesday, arrived Saturday - wasn't in but left with neighbour. No dramas.
The phone itself is ace. Updated to Marshmallow via LG bridge and I've not experienced any of the battery issues that others have seen - in fact it's waaaay better than the Nexus 4 it replaced had ever been. No it will be fine. I googled when mine wasn't sealed and about 40% of them don't come sealed depending on where it is sourced. The reason I sent mine back in the end because despite the box not being sealed - I could live with that, the plastic protection that you peel off was missing on the volume control. If you watch the unboxing videos all of them have plastic protection on the front, back, sides and volume controls on the back. Mine was missing the volume control one, that and the fact that it wasn't sealed made me believe someone had maybe opened it and decided to return it.

i open lg bridge and connect via airdrive and it states AIRDRIVE IS BUSY when trying a software update. Disconnect airdrive and software update states no mobile connected (even when plugged in via uSB).
I really cant cope with a phone that only has 6 hours battery life
on the plus side, it charged from 16% to 80% in 40 minutes
Now updating to Marshmallow
Box didn't come with a seal, broken or otherwise.
Just hate the fact you can't set auto rotate to 180 degrees and it doesn't turn the screen off when you close the case.
I know facebook is the biggest battery killer of them all
The auto brightness on the G4 is crap too - really low so you cant read the screen properly when its twilight.
install and use clean master.
disable all auto sync.
disable location services for all applications.
disable Dual Window( very important one ).
disable weather or live wallpaper app.
disable smart settings.

Clean master might be a good fallback if all else fails.
Lovely.
The phone itself is ace. Updated to Marshmallow via LG bridge and I've not experienced any of the battery issues that others have seen - in fact it's waaaay better than the Nexus 4 it replaced had ever been. Still getting to grips with the LG launcher, but sticking with it as I love the double tap to wake/sleep. The camera is everything that everybody has said as well. Happy bunny!
Not sealed (unlike the stock I got from Vodafone) and the sticker which you peel off when you first get the phone on the volume controls was missing. Going to have to call them tomorrow.
I'd avoid, I think there selling returned customer phones as new if the condition looks like it hasn't been switched on.
Multiple unacceptable faults including
1. Phone Overheats. Shut itself down after first 1 or 2 hours use
2. Ghost touches - phone appears to randomly register screen touches when there are none.
3. Lag: fails to respond to screen touches in the expected time
4. Fails to save photographs & screen captures
Maybee I was just unlucky.
kudos for that
cheers
I've heard a lot about older units having problems - which apparantly was fixed in later models. Also found this topic that seems to talk about similiar issue - https://www.reddit.com/r/lgg4/comments/3wir18/psa_if_you_purchased_a_g4_before_october_it_may/

Seems weird to return it for that reason
How do people cope with just 8GB phones?
