Good points over other phones:
FM Radio
IR Blaster/Remote
Micro SD slot
Removable battery
Assume locked to Vodafone. I have not unlocked an LG phone so can't comment on the cost/ease.

Please provide a link, £130 would be an amazing deal for the LG G3.
It is possible you are comparing to the LG G3s which is a lower specced phone.

The Phones used in between jobs, Id say about 3-4 hours as a Sat Nav during working hours, and the Note 2 battery is really that good, that's why I've never upgraded in all these years lol, also the key to having so long a battery life is easy, don't use task killer apps, and have a pure black background if you have an Amoled screen, and once finished with an app always bring up task manager and close the app, works for me and has done for years.

Surely though, you would have a car charger if you're using any phone for extended periods of time as a satnav? I'm a cabbie and if I used my phone as a satnav just running on the battery I'd probably have no charge left by the time I needed to use it outside of the car in an airport!

Yea thats the thing my Note 2 battery lasts me about 36 hours, its used as sat nav all day for work, facebook for business, lurking on here lol and general browsing of the web, so Id need a battery that lasted as long or longer, looks the G3 isnt going to cut it.

Crikey. 36 hours! Whilst being used as a sat nav. I don't think you are going to get anywhere near that with anything else. Although to be fair I wouldn't have thought you'd have got anywhere near that with a Note 2 either so what do I know.

If you have £200 to spend, the G Flex 2 has a way better SoC and a POLED screen. Its a way better bet. (Just used one for a week.)
On the other hand, if you want to spend only £100, there are G2's around which still have stunning battery life. £150 would have been a better price for the G3 these days.

Had a g3 for a few days when it was this price at Argos. Returned it. Battery life wasn't great but manageable. Performance was suffering because of the hi res screen.
Lg g-flex 2 is certainly a better buy at this price.
G4 is a lot better but also more expensive.

I dont know if anyone knows the answer to this, Google didn't, but is this battery better than a Note 2 ( Samsung ), I only want two things in a phone, a good battery and good camera and the Note 2 has always delivered, was going to get the Moto X Play but i need a good camera in low light, so does anyone know if the battery on this is as good or better and what the camera is like?.
Thanks.

i currently own an lg g3 and a full charge will only get you 7-8 hours of usage but dependant on how much you use it.

Camera great, battery mediocre at best. I've a Galaxy S5 now and it wipes the floor with the battery life of the G3.

I'm no camera buff but the xplay camera has been fine for me. Low light I couldn't guarantee though.
The g3 will have worse battery life than the note 2 I would think. It's powering a much better screen and is 100mah less than the note 2.
You MAY get better battery life when in doze mode / screen off as the chip set is newer and more likely better at managing power but this won't counter the screen on I'd imagine.

Great screen and battery. That's as good as it gets for me though as mines been slow, laggy and unreliable. Had problems with it rebooting so sent it back to lg, couldn't find any problems so they sent a new battery. That sorted the rebooting for a few month's but now it's started freezing and bootlooping, absolute pain in the ****. Going back to the old nexus 4 until hopefully picking something better up in the January sales, surprised I've managed to type this without it rebooting. Having said that lots have people love it and have no problems at all, pays your money, takes your choice.

I had a G3 for a year until it was broken by a rather angry (now ex) girlfriend and the only issue I had with it was the battery life. I just bought an external charger and spare battery to swap in the afternoons. Third party batteries are about £5 as are the wall chargers.
I replaced my G3 with a G4 and the differences are quite remarkable. I never subscribed to the whole lag thing with the G3 but the G4 is bullet fast at doing anything. The screen is brighter and a lot more colourful, and the battery lasts a lot longer than the G3's. I never noticed any real issues with my G3 until the G4 showed it up completely.

Personally I found the battery OK, plus it's removable and spares seem fairly cheap so you could keep one handy if needs be. My gripes were that it was occasionally laggy and I didn't care for any of LGs tweaks to stock Android personally. Having said that I enjoyed the tap to wake feature, not sure if that's an LG feature.

I've got a g3. Yes it eats battery. But it's quite a good phone. I carry a power bank when I travel.
It works really well with Kodi and a slimport to tv.
