be careful with the cashback if you get this delivered home, i brought a lenovo tablet and they would not accept the email confirmation and delivery slip as proof of purchase as the dispatch and purchas was not completed by John Lewis and JL would not send me another slip so I never received my cash back, Lenovo would not accept an email from John Lewis confirming I had not returned the item either

Same price in store mate. Called up asking and they said to be 100% sure, buy it instore with a receipt.
So paid for it over the phone and collecting it tomorrow, unless i find something better tonight!

I have the U430 touch (this is the same laptop without touch screen). Very nice machine, but had issues with the BT/WIFI adapter, that causes the computer to lag sometimes.
Seems to have sorted itself with win 10 upgrade, but just a point.

Not good deal.
The i5, FHD, 1TB version was £399 two weeks ago even without any cashback required.
A lot of people received the SSD version, and they complain about.
The little upgrade from i5 U version to i7 U version, do not worth the price difference.
I would suggest to wait for better deals even in normal time, not to mention Christmas is so close.
With Christmas coming, there are surely going to be some better valued laptop just around the corner.

I did take that deal and you have forgotten to mention the discrete gpu, although it's not a massive upgrade to the integrated chip

Going to cancel my order with this. Don't really need a laptop and think will get a gaming desktop instead. My desktop pc is 8 years old, my laptop only 6 months, so you can see which needs upgrading the most ha.
Not sure why this is expired.. still shows up at £649.95 in white for me?

Negative points seem to be 13 inch screen and only 128GB SSD... Does not seem to have that and another drive, which seems very small on its own.
