Those in Poundland are Zinc Batteries Not Alkaline (Alkaline out perform all Zinc Batteries By a least a factor of four..

Kids these days have many toys that take a lot of batteries and generally they are secured into the toy with a screw, and a child changes from one toy to another quite regularly. I personally don't have the time to @rse about changing batteries every few minutes. Like I said personal preference and probably the same with others as why sell them in big packs if not to use them. You seem against using normal batteries and prefer rechargeable ones, so it seems you are trolling a little bit here on this deal, so to stop you annoying me I have set to ignore your comments. You might want to consider swapping batteries between toys.

A modern charger only takes a few hours to recharge AAs anyway, so as long as you have a few spare....

Agreed, the up front cost per rechargeable battery is much higher than this.

These are cheap for a reason.

The Kodak xtralife ones are really good value. Extensive rundown here and here. The ikea ones worked out cheaper per Watt hour than these when he did the tests - 10 in the ikea pack, 6 in the poundland, but if you buy the 8 packs from poundland then that beats the ikea making them the cheapest.

And Big Clive uses these a lot, and I'm not arguing with Big Clive.

Not voting as you can get them cheaper at Poundland but they are good batteries and not cheap for a reason.

They were 4+4 free at poundland (xtra alcaline... The zinc useless ones were pack of 12)

I use these in my Flashkits with my DSLR's - no problems with lifespan. Can't say this is much of a deal though, has been this price since I can remember when I purchased in September..

Zinc batteries should be banned. Batteries are difficult to recycle and throw away items like one-use batteries have no place in the future. Atleast Alkaline batteries have a decernt life, so hot from me!

Ordered these from Amazon way back in Oct when they were awaiting stock.Finally delivered yesterday so cant comment on how long they will last.

Poundland sells kodak xtralife in a pack of 6 so works out the same price 10 packs (60 Batteries)= £10. Also sometimes stock an 8 pack of the xtralife meaning your getting 20 more batteries than this deal. These are the xtralife ones, so last a lot longer than those ones, loads of shops sell 10 packs for a quid but they don't last that long. These will last a bit longer hence for the price aren't too bad in my opinion, having 3 young kids I use a lot of batteries and will be buying some of these.

​those are the standard none alkaline batteries. They actually now sell the standard kodak zinc batteries in packs of 16 for £1

you can buy a pack of 11 of these in poundland for £1 so this is ice cold

You can get the Panasonic 10 pack for a £1 but these last longer than those, so good value if you have prime or spend over £20.

Great deal, not bad performance batteries from experience as well.
