just bought the WV2 for the same price. What makes the WV50 better?

Nothing, the "WV50" is the older discontinued model. The WV5 is the newer one, and Tesco are doing the premium pack "WV5" for just £45 !!
WV2 is £34.99 which is newer... Why WV50 that was released 6 years ago is better.?..

Need to get one of these. Amazon are doing the WV2 premium for £44.95 so might go for that!

They're great - condensation on windows, drying the car after a wash and even recently used to pick up water whilst defrosting the freezer. Thoroughly recommended.

Just ordered one, thanks for the heads up on this deal.
Anyone know what the difference is between this and the WV2, and which is the newest version.
Will be busy cleaning my windows over the holidays ....Cheers

Are they worth it?

It's a good bit of kit, I use it on windows, the shower screen and the car windows (inside). It's mostly streak fee, but you need to keep the rubber squeegee clean, else it leaves lines.
Also it doesn't suck up all the water from right next to the window frames in the house, so a cloth is still required for that.
Worth it, but a couple of niggles.

I've got the V2 and I'm not impressed given the money paid. It misses quite a lot of water, especially at the sides. It's not bad, just feel when you pay a premium you expect top results.

No complaints from me, the perfect gadget in that it makes a crappy job quick n easy. Can do all the house windows and two conservatories in 20 mins. Although Sinbad the window cleaner might not say its worth it, seeing as I fired him.

They're really good for steamy showers when you can get the tiles cleaned and dried in one sweep! For windows they're OK at best, but they really really don't like leaded windows when they won't suck up the water, and can leave drips.
You have to use horizontal sweeps at the bottom because the unit is quite tall and hits the cill long before the bottom of the window. The end result is never as good as a professional squeegee can get it though.

cold , use and re-use a cloth, far cheaper and better for the environment , waste of time :innocent:

Could be wrong but I think the amazon version is better. Was when I looked last time anyway.

I didn't want one... but single glazed windows with condensation in the morning... DONE!
It's a good device, with a bit of practise, it will remove nearly all of the water, start at the bottom! oh er misses
Great for shower screen too.
