Wife was looking at getting one for home as she uses one in work for all the office windows and loves it.
Pick up on 29th for me too, but thats not a problem, if i'd have given it to her for xmas, she would probably knock me out with it:)

Hiya, only difference between this model and the new one is the new one has a smaller water tank and is lighter. Bought this model from b and q and paid £35 and thought I had s bargain but this is a good price. I keep mine in the kitchen for my granite tops. Instant shine and chemical free

It's the older model. The newer ones just last a little longer charge wise and store more water.

The new one has a smaller water tank? You mean the one on the actual vac? The original one isn't very big.
There are a few other differences too. The main one is the position of the switch. Also there are no air vents on the body of the new one (which is a little less rounded). And there's a minor change to the rubber bung on the water tank - hopefully it'll work now. (on the old one it's easier to just take the tank off the vac to empty)

This is the old discontinued model. Tesco are doing the updated model with lithium-ion battery (WV5 premium pack) for £45.
The old models battery wore out after a few months.
I was unsure whether to get the old or new style. Since you can replace the battery on the new WV5 version, do you think long term that its better to buy that one? I guess if the battery goes on the old style, its broke!!

Does anyone who owns one know if this would be of use for using on floors? Reason I ask is I have a wet room and everytime I have a shower I have to mop it, would be easier if this sucked up the excess water.
Thanks

Seriously? ... the technology to clean windows has been around for a long time; its called cloth and water. If you're feeling generous then add a little cleaning liquid or even branch out and use a little bucket. Water you already pay for, the cloths , liquid and bucket can be had for pennies.
No wires, no electrical technology, no extension leads, no additional electricity bill and certainly no additional effort to clean, store and set up everything just to clean the window. What exactly is the deal? lulz

Yes, the motor is also upgraded so the battery life is better too. Improved heads and better button which takes a light touch instead of a heavy press to activate. Replacement parts are readily available from the Mfr too since the V5 is a current model.
