I think the 3 year guarantee makes it worth the price itself. Even applecare would extend this to 2 years maximum.

I got the air on Black Fridays deal, does anyone know if they will extend the warranty to three years as it's the same price as here?

Amazing how many brand new 1st gen Airs are still available over 12 months after the model was replaced, anyone else get the feeling Apple over ordered and has now had to hold the Air 3 back till they clear surplus inventory of this and now the Air 2 (at near full RRP of course)?

These are slow and laggy these days with iOS 9. Safari is really bad.

Please avoid the air 1. Had one since launch (for only £60 more) and very much looking forward to retiring it. Not enough ram so they do love to crash when you push them. It's only going to get worse as more apps are aimed at the newer models.

Bought mine from John Lewis on release, absolutely brilliant piece of kit. The warranty is for peace of mind as like previously said; these are so reliable you don't need a warranty.

I used a bad case and it made one of the volume buttons have a little to much travel but still worked, took it into the Apple Store thinking they could just sort the button and they didn't even deliberate, just gave me a brand new iPad Air.

Just bought a 16GB iPad Air for £249 at Argos the other day as a present.
