They come with a clear case and an LED corresponding to the capacity.
I have a 32GB one and it has a bright red LED that flashes during activity, lighting up the whole device.
Performance isn't too bad, considering the price. Around 25MB/s sequential read and 10MB/s sequential write according to Crystal Disk Mark.
It seems pretty well made, mine is over two years old with a lot of use.
Long story short: Good drive for the price but has very bright LED which can be distracting.

Is there anything 'rainbow' about it, does it light up or anything?

Amazon have usb3 one for £6.23 delivered but it only gets 3/5 by the maker SODIAL. Kingston usb 3.0 32gb is 7.79.
For those that have usb 3.0 its probably worth spending extra on the flash drive.

How does it compare to Sandisk?

The brand is well regarded despite its origin. Sandisk are huge, but their warranty charges can be odd ($10 processing fees, and general silliness might be an issue but this is true of many companies)
These are fine for reliable low end storage. Whatever make you buy it is wise to have 3 copies on 2 different media on more than 1 location. Mobi are fine also though delivery can be slow - I've had ordered shipped from Switzerland from them to me in the UK?! Never had any issues with either the brand or the supplier all good 30+ orders from both over the years.
Also the USB3 flash drives are all typically MUCH slower than the USB3 spec unless you pay a lot of money for the superfast drives. I've a few of these and the difference is night and day. The big difference is not just transient peak speed but the sustained throughput. I like the JetFlash drives from Transcend (low cost high performance, no reliability issues in my limited experience)
At this end of the markets the dual headed Kingstons and this drive will be fine with USB2.
The nice thing with the Kingston drives is they are small (yes easy to loose -I've zero broken caps but I'm careful) but the ability to plug them directly into a phone /tablet (Android) is great. Yes and OTG USB cable is only 99p on ebay
