For what it's worth, I agree with you but the fact is that nobody likes to hear this, it just most people's backs up. I know it's not good for me but Christmas without chocolate??!! No thanks.

Yes I don't blame fat, lazy people for getting their backs up at comments like this. It would get my back up too if I knew deep down how unfit I was and how badly I was mistreating myself and the fact that it would take months (if not years) of work and self discipline to bring my weight down to my correct weight and keep it there.
Why not just call these people trolls instead? Much easier isn't it?

Its usually the 34 inch waist + men that don't like it. Or the size 14+ women who hate it. However it is fact. IIRC the average person gains 8lb of fat over xmas, not good at all. Cadbury will be laughing all the way to the bank however

sugar gives diabetes among so many other bad things. I can tell you don't work out or eat well. I feel sorry for your heart :disappointed:

A direct link between sugar and diabetes is currently tenuous at best. You don't usually get it just because you simply ate too much sugar.
The biggest risk factor is obesity and that is attributed to an excess intake of calories. This can be from any source such as fat.

Not totally correct - bad carbs are the biggest contribution to obesity which in turn leads to diabetes. Sugar is one form of empty carbs.

I train 4/5 times a week, eat ok but I really do enjoy a choc and boxes of mince pies. Even the best trainers in the world say they have "cheat days".

A chocolate bar once and a while isn't going to affect your body. Of course eating them in excess is wrong.
I eat healthily every day, try and get my 5 a day. But it's nice once a week to have some sugary treat.
