I commend Paul in the Weymouth branch for his outstanding customer service. Wouldn't type the number into his computer and just said you've got more chance of finding it in Poole which is 40mins drive away cheers mate. He said to type in the code online as he was too busy.

The one on their website for £79 is not HDR and also does not have a hard drive. If you've managed to get one then keep it as people are struggling to find them at this price. People have not voted this hot just for the sake of it!! Keep it!

I have Humax 1st model PVR and a 1.85 M dish, depending on your location you will need a local installer to let you know what your location would need in dish size and availability.

Thanks for the code .. the code also works for the HB-1000 S on the Humax Direct site (no HD, but external HD can be added) to make a total of £42.10 with next day DPD delivery. Just need to pick up an external portable HD cheap now.. will probably go for 1TB drive

Tried calling the store to check stock and price and they claim it goes to a call centre so can only see online stock not instore , so without going to the store there is no way of knowing. Also they said they don't answer instore at this time of year try next year !! Funny that because yesterday afternoon they were not busy at all .Useless

Just wandered into my local Curry's in Glasgow and got the display model.
Set it up and looks like it's either been switch on in store or a customer return as it was already set up and had a postcode in it. Not to happy

Sorry for the goose chase peeps. Like someone mentioned earlier in the post there was 1 available in Kettering and also 1 in Manchester until this morning. So it has helped a couple of people out. I must admit staff at Currys are not very helpful.

Yes provided you have the right setup as the footprint has been changed to narrow beam since the change of satellites. In Benidorm I find it best to use a Yorkshire post code as not all the regional ITV stations work 100%, i.e. on a Luton postcode I could not get ITV HD only ITV SD but I could get channel 4 HD, on a Leeds post code I get ITV HD but not channel 4 HD only channel 4 SD. Can't be bothered to try other post code combinations because just to get a signal is OK by me.

Not if you have a slow Internet connection. Also means you can record ITV/C4 etc in HD and whizz through the adverts. Their catchup is still restricted to SD and non-blockable ads.

001463 is the product code you need for them to check stock. Absolute goon at CS really couldn't be arsed with my call. Only after he emailed a store did the store worker find it on the system using a price search. The product EAN code was useless for finding it. No stock showing in the southwest but hopefully that product code might help members find stock in other regions.
it's a freesat box so you can use your satellite dish if you have a bad signal where you love

Don't know about the differences but I can thoroughly recommend the BT Youview+ box if this deal ends up as another wild goose chase. Got one when I left Sky in September and it is really good, very intuitive, and easy to set up. If you are used to a Sky+ box, it is very similar in use but the BT box is much more compact than the Sky box. It is also made by Humax for BT.

Yes to be able to record and watch 2 separate channels, my advice would be to get a quad LNB which would be only a small amount dearer but would give better performance and allow you to connect further boxes in different rooms.
