France is lucky, Amazon decrease the price of the Nexus 6p from 650€ to 500€. All the colors are not in flash sale. I don't know the price of the delivery (I live in France)
It's a good price for the latest Nexus phone.

EDIT : 64GB is sold out. Still 32GB in Steel and Black.

Bare in mind that this phone is priced at $499. It being priced at £449 shows how much Google screwed with Europeans. This price is closer to what the actual price should have been.

exact same problem. my cuz brother got it and I saw in the flesh. it's BIG but he said you get used to it after a while...but even then I think nexus 5x is good. I got one for my wife already and I was gonna get nexus 6p for myself and to this date I have not decided! I was considering xiaomi mi4c but it doesn't have the fingerprint scanner but I've just learned that the new version releasing in a few months should have a fingerprint scanner and also the newest snap dragon 820 which will be the best processor out and will be built also for new vr capabilities. I'm saying Chinese phones for first time because firstly nexus 6p is made by huawei which is Chinese company and also main reason is that if you check the specs its actually better than nearly every single phone available plus its approx £170 delivered from gearbest, my brother got this and its really fast smooth fluid movement, not heavy no issues on overheating. great reviews, check video on YouTube.... so now I'm thinking to wait altogether and see if this new release going to be one if the best phones in the market but remember to do your own research on pros and cons, I have yet to finish up. take care and would be nice to know what you went for at the end...

Looks like it's the 32gb in Steel and Grey and then the 64gb in Black are the models carrying the price reductions here. Very good price nonetheless. I got the 32gb in Silver from Carphone warehouse for £440 around release time and I love the phone. The size is not as prohibitive as you would think. Photo and video is exceptional, battery life is fantastic. It is the best android experience on a phone available right now for sure. Voted hot hot hot.

MaximusRo
9 Dec 15 #47
Yes, had them, all broke, still a Chinese phone in my book (and yes, I do know iPhones are made in Chine too).
I do know how big of a company they are, every single Chinese phone posted here is defended as being built by one of the biggest phone manufactures in the world, not sure if you noticed that, however, every single time, there is an issue with them.
Of course I assume this particular model might be better as Google is involved, but still, lot of money for what it is (and I remember lots of people saying there is no reason to pay more than £150 for a phone and things like that).
Don't let me put you off, it's just my opinion, of course.

Most people have no idea who Huawei are (and very few can pronounce it properly!). To joe public they are seen as a 'small' Smartphone manufacturer however they are massive and that's not an understatement.

From Wikipedia: "In 2014, Huawei recorded profit of 34.2 billion CNY (5.5 billion USD).Its products and services have been deployed in more than 140 countries and it currently serves 45 of the world's 50 largest telecoms operators."

9 Dec 15 #82
Just be wary that these use the awful Note 5 screens. You'll either get one with half the screen being pink, a yellow screen, or a blotchy pink mess.

Very few people get a uniform screen when it comes to Samsung AMOLEDs. They mass produce them with no quality control.

Oh and before the haters arrive, yes your screen has it too, you just either don't notice it or don't care. In which case, good for you

The last good Samsung screen I saw was in my old S4, since then they've been garbage. At least apple finally sorted theirs out with the iPhone 6, not more yellow bottom/sides.

If the motix style didn't have so many poorly made displays too I'd be recommending that over this.

Huawei Mate 8 seems to be the next best "phablet" though. Huge screen, no bezel, fastest CPU around, huge battery, and 1080p IPS panel. Sexy 16mp Sony sensor with OIS too.

Thanks for responding Gaz.

Can I ask why you take it off frequently?

I have a similar Spigen case for my HTC One M8 and I need to take the case off to charge the phone; which is a minor issue since the case offered so much protection.

I don't want a case that adds too much bulk as it's already a huge phone, but I want to make sure I protect it too. Hopefully I can have it both ways

With regards to cases, I really like the look of the Verus High Pro Shield.

Info at http://veruscase.com/device/android-cases/nexus-6p-cases/nexus-6p-case-high-pro-shield-series.html

It's £22.99 at Mobile Fun http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/verus-high-pro-shield-series-nexus-6p-case-steel-silver-p55409.htm. A bit more expensive that other options available, but I like the idea of having plastic around the edges.

it has not yet been proven that it is a note 5 panel. I highly doubt it is due to variances in brightness by almost 200 nits. I had a note 4 and it had the same issues as this panel does. It also has absolutely poor viewing angles compared with a note 5 and I can vouch for the poor quality control as I'm on my second 6p with has pink and yellow together. Search Google for a pink tint on the note 5 and you'll see very few as compared with the 6p which has loads of posts despite being newer. Finally the moto style uses a cheaper Samsung display.

I'm swaying between the Spigen Rugged Armour and Thin Fit.

http://www.spigen.co.uk/cell-phone/google/google-nexus-6p/nexus-6p-case-thin-fit.html

Also, regarding the charger, if you just use a cheap 1 pound adapter, is fast charging going to work?

On the other hans, should that not be the case that all chargers with 'qualcomm fast charge' should work? plenty to be had around:

There's a really interesting section on Google+ from Benson Leung reviewing a lot of the available chargers on the market and it can be viewed here: https://plus.google.com/collection/s0Inv definitely worth looking at before you buy any cheap rubbish.

I've never understood the mentality of buying a Premium device then using second (or worse) rate chargers, cables etc. These can also invalidate warranties if they cause a problem with the device.

Received mine an hour ago. Nice surprise that it came with headphones. UK version doesn't and we pay more... Figures lol
Long live the EU

Nice. I'm very jealous.

I paid for the Friday delivery but had hoped it had come earlier. It's with UPS so at least it's on the road.

That's a nice little bonus regardless getting headphones.

I am very jealous too... Missed the deal by few minutes. Had it in my basket and went through all the way to the payment page which took a long time and ended with an error message that the item was out of stock... gutted...
Don't think I will get a similar deal soon.

Unlucky. I nearly did the same.

I was procrastinating a little bit as I still had concerns that whilst the deal was great, the phone was too big for me. So I was lying in bed at 4 in the morning looking at size comparisons and reading comments from existing Nexus 6P owners. I came to the conclusion that I would give it a few weeks using it and if I still wasn't happy with the size I could simply sell it and recoup my investment.

I am glad I managed to put an order in before going to bed. I have no doubt that I will get used to the size too. I found a 5" phone too big the first few days but you quickly get used to it.

10 Dec 15 #122
Took me a few days to get used to it I think it is slightly too big as I came from a g4 which was big too but with smaller bezels compared to the nexus

Dang. If it's taking a while for you to get used to it, it will be a big change for me

Mine appears to still be France.

Well, just set mine up. Whilst the device is significantly larger than the Nexus 5 it replaces, it feels great in the hand and the Fingerprint unlock is a great function. All in all, very happy, especially for the price paid.

Missed my parcel today and been at work, my flatmate probably wasn't bothered to open doors for courier even though he was home -.- Hope I finally get it tomorrow as I can't wait to lay my fingers on that beast:) especially Ive sold my old phone and have to use crappy old blackberry I found deep down the cupboard:(

Did u get special delivery? Mine is being delivered by amazon logistics, weird if they used different carriers for different orders
ec9wrr
11 Dec 15 #128
I paid for the medium delivery. Ups don't deliver Saturdays (I don't think, well, not unless Amazon paid them extra to). Looks like I'll have to wait until Monday now.

Feel sorry for you, amazon logistics delivers on saturday (even sunday), so hope i will get mine tomorrow. I picked the cheapest delivery:P

After using the phone over the last couple of days, I have to say that the size of the phone is not an issue. In fact, it is arguably easier to handle to use than the HTC One M8 as that phone placed the power button right at the top of the phone and this one wisely has it at the side in a good position. So picking it up and switching it on and off is simpler.

I can't dispute the fact that it's a bigger phone, but it is not as big as an inconvenience as I thought it would be. It feels comfortable.

Yeh maybe a bit too tall due to the speakers but the speakers are worth it this phone is worth it for sure

I think this may have been asked previously, but haven't seen any replies- as it's a european plug, will the fast charging work if you just use a UK plug adapter, or will you have to buy a whole new charger? Cheers.

Had the phone since Friday, and love it so far. Doesn't feel too large/heavy, just very solid in the hand. And it's lightening quick!
markdavey1972 to Wolf39
14 Dec 15 2 #136
Just plug it into an EU->UK adapter, it will fast charge just the same.
rapid111111
16 Dec 15 #138
good phone, but it's probably not going to support all the UK bands

16 Dec 15 #139
Yeah and warranties? Good luck with that, they're cheap for a reason.
kman0013
17 Dec 15 #140
does it fit the charger?
markdavey1972
18 Dec 15 #141
It should do, EU sockets are recessed just like this adapter. I simply use the one I use for my Electric Toothbrush though as the Charger doesn't require an Earth..

i bought both the Spigen Thin fit and its edges are very sharp and uncomfortable to hold. in the mean time I use a Ringke Fusion until I find a decent thin case
