I bought a deesktop from PC Specialist and there customer service is rubbish at best.I had one before not a problem but I ended off having 2 and in the end got a full refund after 3 month of fighting my case.Buy a prebuilt PC so you are not adding bits less chance of things going wrong. In the end I got a beast from Overclockers and there service is very good.
save cash by putting in the alternative i5 cpu in it...i7 is overkill for gaming....

This was the one I was on about link below i7 , 1GB hard drive , 8gb hyperx RAM changing the wireless to gaming version. it is at £784 but the MPI55 code takes £50 off so £734 obviously the price could be a lot lower but I have upgraded. I did consider the Dell for £750 but I need before Christmas as present for the boy. I am waiting until tomorrow in case any mega bargain comes up. If anyone can recommend any tweaking to my spec then please let me know. I am considering dropping windows 10 to save a few quid more and buy windows 7 or 8.
the range of processors available is mind boggling a saturated market , are any of these machines better than machines of 3-4 years ago ?? they still sell machines with lower performance of the i7 thinkpad i am typing on that i payed £20 for.

I think i'd rather have a german keyboard than forfeit a quadcore processor and a 960m at the same price (as shown later in the deal, it's easily taken care of via stickers), so yes it is comparable

Neither of those are really comparable to this deal though are they. A used Amazon Warehouse one and a Lenovo with a German keyboard?
Priced at £749 now but at the time you could get an extra £50 knocked off by speaking to their web chat sales team. Doubt they're still offering the reduction though.
try pcspecialist you can make a higher spec for this money with a 960m pay a bit more and you can get the 6th generation i7 as well as that is what I am looking at. Someone has posted on here I will try and find link.

Not sure about the performance of that low voltage processor. The rest is appealing though and it's a nice looking thing.
Makes that Dell offer from a few weeks back look even better though. That thing was £699 and I think it had a proper Skylake processor and 960M graphics card.
I'll see what comes up on Black Friday but if this is still on offer and nothing decent materialises then I might go for this.

Dual core processor and pretty average graphics card. There are better laptops for this much.

Nice but after experience with my probook I won't buy another HP laptop again. Despite having tried everything a hundred times I cannot get the sound to work properly you either get no sound unless you plug headphones in then it comes out the speakers or you get no sound at all or you get sound but it breaks up all the time making it impossible to hear anything. I have now got to the point of using a USB sound device, poxy IDT sound system
I know this is another category laptop this range but once bitten....

PS my budget is £750 after bonus codes.
The PC Specialist one might be worthwhile.

or this one on amazon. Used very good - from warehouse deals. It could be new, might not be - it's a risk but for 100 pounds less you've got twice the machine (and 30 days to return it). This deal here is simply not very good....
