Dont use one if you have a ICD or a pacemaker. It will switch it off (the pacemaker) and you wont know !!

I bought a new induction hob and hate it :disappointed: Really do. Its wired in but if I use more than 2 of the rings the power is so low - its like whatever the wattage is its shared when other rings being used. I cant get 4 rings on hot.

I have an induction hob and hate it. Much prefer my old has hob, don't do it !!!

Should have bought one with 4 independant generators. Sounds like yours is a cheaper one with only 2!

I'm on my second induction hob, hotpoint, and really like it, first was cheap curry's own brand and it died. They can heat things up quickly and things don't burn in on the hob surface as with a normal ceramic hob. I don't like touch controls though but appreciate they make cleaning easier. One thing I have noticed though is that it really depends on the quality / design of the hob, hotpoint is much better than curry's own brand. Also the hob can be picky about the pans you use with some not being recognised properly and therefore just not working or taking too long to heat things. My test is normally to boil half a pan of water and see how well it copes.

I've got two Aldi single induction hobs and they're pretty annoying. Heat things up to set temperature - then they switch off for a couple of minutes, before the thermostat switches on again. They cooks in bursts. Both hobs do exactly the same, so not a fault as such - but it is a design fault.

This looks like the top of my oven so i assume it is the same without the double oven under it. Works well but i have two words of warning. 1, you can not do a stirfry with an induction hob because the pans will not work as they need a flat bottom. 2, the hob will get VERY hot as the heat from the pan/source pan will get transferred to the glass top, This results in a very hot top will no signs it is hot apart from the display which will show a 'H', not a problem on the double oven as a fan kicks in and cools the top in about a minute but on this you will have to wait for it to cool down.

It might be down to your power supply, I know that they need a more powerful supply to be able to take the load of the full hob

I have a Beko induction job & love it! 4 rings at once no probs & I needed new pans etc anyway. If anyone is just thinking of induction, do it!!!, boils water at near the same speed as my kettle!

I used to show my Capri's at Doune motor shows, I now drive Honda.

Hiw long ago? When the tech was new? Nothing wrong with ones that have 4 generators. You only need 2 generators if you dont need to do alot of cooking. If u have a big family you need 4 generators.
