Problem is with TV/DVD tv's is once the dvd player goes wrong the tele goes too

Vestel have contract manufactured TVs for many major brands for well over a decade, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Goodmans, Bush are just a few. If your TV says 'Made in Turkey' on the back then it's a Vestel.

I've got a 40-inch Hitachi (sans DVD drive) and it's pretty good. Probably not for AV enthusiasts though because I've noticed the backlight is a bit uneven (only noticeable on really dark static images or when a source gets disconnected) and SD Freeview/DVD are a bit dated. I got mine from the Argos eBay outlet for 180 quid and I'm very happy with it.

Is this worth it? Like the visual quality and the sound on this TV, are they of good quality? Vestel? I thought it was Hitachi?

Vestel is a Turkish budget TV manufacturer licenced to stick a Hitachi badge on its TVs. Is it worth it? Go look at one in store and then it's your call.

Reasonable price for a rebadged Vestel budget TV. Genuinely impressive support for media playback via USB that includes MP4 & MKV H.264 at up to 1920x1080; sadly no x265/HEVC support but at this price that is forgiven. Don't think I've seen an integrated DVD player in this size TV for a while, nice touch. Manual can be viewed in a browser here.
