Not sure if it has aged well but they should remaster Ripper (1996).

Bought this earlier and finished it in two or three hours.
Very interesting little story that leaves you wondering exactly what the truth really was.

I also owned all three at one stage, though sadly the Mega CD is the only one left in my collection. Sold the CD-I and a 'priceless' collection of games/V-CDs to pay for a holiday. Never owned any great titles on the 3DO though.

Played lots of FMV games on those old CD consoles. I only had a Mega CD back in the day being a Sega fan but over the years acquired a CDi and 3DO, both sadly sold now but I remember I loved playing Night Trap on the 3DO, much better video than the Mega CD and that is one FMV game that I think works great within the limitations of FMV, you have limited control but just enough to create an enjoyable game.
On the Mega CD I also used to like the detective games like Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective and Dracula (though was too young at the time to see them all the way through) plus those corny make your own video titles where you splice bits of video to make a (bad) music video, they just seemed really clever to my younger naive self....

It's been very entertaining watching Retsupurae and Spoony rip (sorry) that game to shreds but it seems like it would have been a great game at the time, apart from the mug puzzle right at the very beginning!

Same price on the humble store where you get the DRM free version too, as well as some of the money going to charity.

Agreed, I'd rather buy from the humble store for the same money.
Great game, nice to play something different, it won't take long but a good evenings entertainment.

Hot deal. Great to see FMV games slowly returning. I know many of the 90s ones were terrible but there were a few worth playing and I think we are seeing now just how good FMV games can be when they are done properly.
In a similar vein I'm really looking forward to playing Contradiction too, a more detective style FMV adventure, though as I'm a cheapskate it would have to get discounted a bit before I bite....

You sound like a mega cd or philips cd owner, remember night trap, groundzero texas or tomcat alley?
