Lovely projector. The screen is only worth it if it's the biggest you can use. I bought a 120" screen very cheap and highly recommend.

Projector is currently £379.99 on Amazon with 72" screens for around £20, so not a particularly great price. Amazon would be my preferred choice over these lot.

Pretty good deal, would be nice to know the throw ratio?
Already have a projector, but only get 100" due to room size....... nothing as nice as this one though.
Make sure you try before you buy with a DLP projector as you may suffer with the 'rainbow' effect, gives me a headache and can see flickering, this projector only has a 2 speed colour wheel.

yup, ditto. Bought one of these and had to return it. Ended up with the 1070 Benq, which with a 6 speed colour wheel (at 50hz) is almost unnoticeable now.
This is a great offer, I bought my projector for £380 from Amazon's lightning deal last week and that was a fantastic deal. So this is a no brainer with the projector screen. I wonder if Amazon could match this offer it would be amazing.

I've always wondered if projectors have now caught up with monitors in that they can be used as monitor replacements / dedicated VDU (visual display unit) for your workstation. I'm guessing it's a no (usage of about 6 hours/day, daily).

my projector has an image 120 inches wide so won't this screen be too small?

Well, you can adjust the size of the image projected (apparently this will project up to 300" wide), so the answer is yes and no.
Yes, a 72" screen is too small if you're projecting into a space that is larger than 72", but No, it's not too small if you only want to project onto a 72" screen.
Personally, if you want a "cinema" experience, I'd go for at least a 100" screen, unless you're going to be sitting 6ft or less away from the screen. I have a 120" screen and it 's a great size even when sitting 12ft away from the screen. A 72" image looks like a very big TV, 100"+ looks like a cinema screen.

I put the image straight on the wall B.T.W.

How can a projector be 1080p or have any resolution, when theres no pixels?
topss to ThisName

Without getting too technical, a DLP projector uses mirrors. Each mirror would in theory correspond to a pixel in resolution terms. The mirrors are usually on a DMD 'chip', so depending on what chip is used, that denotes the resolution.

Wouldnt the quality be different depending on the distance the projected image travels, and how big the projected image is: bigger the image lower the quality because it's stretched.
Ive realised I know nothing about projectors or how they work

Ambient light would affect the quailty. So would the surface you're projecting onto.
Distance from screen wise, which would also generally equate to how big an image you can achieve, wouldn't necesserily reduce quality, so long as you're staying within the projectors specification.
A lot of people tend to give the screen less thought than the actual projector. But personally I have found that even a mediocre projector can give a great cinema like experiance if partnered with a decent screen/surface.

Thanks I understand a bit more now. Surely you can adjust the size without changing the distance from the screen, by focusing the light?
And if you were to do that wouldnt the image be brighter and each 'pixel' be closer together or more focused and produce a better quality image?
I have no idea by the way. Im just wondering

Yep most projectors have some form of zoom, so that you can adjust screen size to some degree without having to move the unit about. But its generally quiet limited.
DLP projectors don't generally suffer too much with the pixel problem you mentioned. Some LCD projectors would, and its called the screen door effect, but I doubt its particularly noticable on current Gen LCD projectors.

I've had this projector for a few months now and I can't rate it enough. picture quality is amazing as is the 3d effect. I mostly use it for gaming and films for my ps4. Maybe 72" screen would be too small mine came with 92" and I wouldn't want to go smaller.

I am picking it up from store at 5pm after ordering one yesterday.. Anyway taking this instead of amazon since getting the £20 screen even though i cannot drill and put in rented house... I have to get some fabric for seeing this..

Personally Amazon would have been my choice (if Prime Now is in your area, you could still have it delivered today), especially as you're not able to use the bundled screen. Much better customer service if you find the need to return the item. Even if you were able to use it, 72" isn't going to get the best experiance out of a projector.
Do you not have a light coloured wall to project onto? Will be much better than a fabric sheet. A lot of the light is going to seep through the fabric and result in degraded picture quality.

I ordered from Amazon. Can get a screen for £20 anyway and Amazon customer service is excellent
Can't believe how happy I am with this. I've watched nearly every disaster film ever made on it and to say I'm impressed doesn't cut it. Hdmi in... Android box connected and some soundsticks plug into the side... Bam cinema in your living room. I've got this about 120" on 720i settings and from where we sit... About 2 meters away... The image is outstanding. I would be splitting hairs complaining. I've went from a plasma which is still use for gaming but it never go back to a TV for serious entertainment. I'll take a pop on this next year I think
