The Halfords set is much better quality than Stanley stuff.
The screw wins every time with the Stanley stuff.

For 10% off workshop tools you can use the code: B16WT05
I tried the other code listed and it didn't work. Great find btw.

It says lifetime guarantee if it fails in normal use...etc.... Does this mean when (not if) the posidrive ones get chewed they will keep giving new ones out? If so whats not to like would beat snap on for that reason

Pretty much yea.
No matter how much you spend on screwdrivers, they are all going to end up rounded if they have a hard life.
Halfords are really really good with their guarantee and tend to change things without any hassle.

You are making yourself look clueless, clearly you don't have enough experience to make a valid comment. Really cheap screwdrivers can suffer from numerous problems:
1) Tips not hard enough (gets mashed in normal use)
2) Tips overhardened and brittle (snap under pressure)
3) Tips badly formed (don't fit screw heads well, screw head gets rounded easily).
3) Handles made from brittle plastic (literally break in your hand)
4) Shafts not adequately keyed into handle, you end up with the handle turning but nothing else.
These screwdrivers are inexpensive and of very reasonable quality. They certainly aren't up to Snap-On standards as some rather optimistic people seem to think, but they more than adequate for anything the average DIYer will throw at them and infinitely better than the cheap crap you get at the pound shop.
You really are trying very hard to look silly. Halfords will swap out entire ratchets if it's failed due to a defect, and a repair kit is available if you are the kind of ham fisted baboon that likes to put a scaffold bar on the end of a ratchet. Explain why the guarantee is pointless because one single part of the kit is not covered? Snap-on also don't warranty the mechanisms in their ratchets, because they know that so many people abuse them.

Assuming you have a smartphone, go into whatever app store you have and download the o2 priority app.
or go to https://priority.o2.co.uk/
They ask for your phone number to confirm you are with o2 and will send you a code.
Pop the code in and browse the app/webpage.
Its basically lots of deals for o2 customers. From £1 lunches on monday, money off in shops, free toys, free food, free drink etc.

You can get 7 sets for the price of this. Who needs a guarantee for a screwdriver, how the hell do you break a screwdriver if you use it properly? and if you use incorrectly the guarantee is invalid. The guarantee is as pointless on their socket sets too, the ratchet mechanism isn't covered, the weakest part. The only people who buy this stuff is the brand name sheep.
T2000Bill to danielUK84
5 Dec 151#47
The ratchets are covered now and we not brand name sheep, if we were we would be buying snap on, the professional range are very good, I got the 12 spanner ratchet pro set off here down from £100 to £32 and I bought these same screwdriver sets 2 for £7 when on offer last year, show me where you can get 7 sets of comparable screwdrivers of this quality? You can break screwdrivers if they are soft and end up rounding off, these are hardened and don't get chewed up like cheap sets.

My little brother has some plastic screwdrivers, I tried to extract a steel screw with it but unfortunately the screwdriver head rounded off. Any idea why that happened?
Most cheap sets won't last and its worth paying an extra few quid for better quality tools. For DIY/occasional use maybe the cheaper sets are ok, but in a professional environment better quality wins almost every time. Cheap screwdrivers don't last more than a few weeks in workshops, and its a false economy to replace them every time.
Although the small print states that ratchet mechanisms aren't covered, I had a well used 5+ year old ratchet replaced quibble free a while back - no receipt. Guess it depends on the staff member and what mood they are in. Most are idiots and probably don't even know they aren't covered.
What makes you think people that use good quality tools are brand name sheep?

Reserved these a few weeks ago and went to collect them in Cribbs Causeway.
Stood for 20 mins before being asked by the bloke 'What do you want?' to which I obviously responded 'Just looking to pick up a reservation, no rush'.
15 minutes later, still nothing. Got sick of it and stormed out telling them they could shove it.

A great screwdriver set. Tried many over the years including extortionately priced snap-on set. This set last as long as any other manufacturer and if there's a problem, just return to any halfords store for a replacement as they have a lifetime guarantee. Keep your receipt in a safe place.

Yes there are cheaper sets, but those who have used halfords advance/professional tools before know their worth.
Comes with a lifetime guarantee. Halfords are brilliant for honouring this and normally will take a new one off the shelf and swap it.
