And then rejoice as you suffer endless drama trying to download the game and any updates via Rockstar's appalling server infrastructure.

What's the best deal on GTA V PC hard copy? Does anybody know? I prefer having the physical copy of the game  Many Thanks in advance!

Good price, still too many modders online ruining the game, unless you have friends in private session no point playing.

No there's not, there's occasional griefing from hackers but you can just switch server.
Warning to any buyers, make sure you get the Steam version instead of the Rockstar one, unless you enjoy suffering.

There is every point in buying this game to appreciate the fantastic campaign story line, online missions, stunning visuals and vast landscapes. The game is a true masterpiece and is worth every penny of the price
dammit, bought for 21£ after fb code sunday night.

does the steam one not just open the rockstar client like uplay games?
Spark
22 Dec 15#12
Why? On PC it makes zero difference and there are gigs of patches to download anyway at this point.

Steam version doesn't seem to be available.

Yes it does and its a PITA because it means it doesn't Steam Cloud save your games or anything. I learned that one the hard way yesterday.
AFAIK, the only way to get this game on Steam is to buy it from Steam but the Christmas sale starts in 2.5 hours from now anyway.

It will run ok if you play @ 1080p. Medium/high settings.

No need to waste money buying the Steam version. Just add it to your library as a non Steam game and when you create your Rockstar account on their website just make sure your browser saves the password so it will boot straight into the game when you select it from your Steam library

Steam version can only be purchased through Steam / given via a Steam gift.
On the note of the Rockstar vs Steam key, I'm glad I got it through Steam as everything auto updates so whenever I'm in the mood I can get straight to it. Rather than opening the Rockstar launcher and having to wait for it to finish updating.

No point playing in a server full of modders exploding you every second.
Otherwise, I agree it's worth every penny.

The steam sale starts today and it will probably be reduced in that. I have it on steam personally I think that's the best way to have it tbh.

You'll be fine, its very scalable. Just don't try to max it out or anything.

stream holiday sale just began, £24. Think stream version is worth the extra 7 quid?
Spark
22 Dec 15#26
Probably yes. It will self update and you can use the steam overlay on it and redownload it at full speed without any hassle. It's obviously your money and your call though.

I still think that £24 is a bargain. The Steam version of this is the definitive edition on any platform and GTA Online is essentially a free bundled MMO that never really tries to force micro transactions down your neck.
