Cook on low for 5-7 hours in slow
Cooker - the meat will fall off ensuring you use it all. It stinks when being cooked though - be warned! X

You are paying for the carcass! I cooked one from Asda with 2.67kg and that is what I called BARGAIN!

I'm not a pheasant plucker,
I'm the pheasant plucker's son,
I'm only plucking pheasants,
Till the pheasant plucker comes.

2 for a fiver in our local butchers, not much use if you don't live near them but I think a fiver for one isn't cheap, and there's not enough meat on them for two unless you're very light eaters

Buy a gun and shoot your own. Free, minus the cost of shot, for the rest of your life.

The breast meat is nice if not over cooked but the legs have a lot of tough ligament things making them a pain. Strictly speaking it should be hung for a few days to develop flavour so a supermarket one is probably very different to one from gamekeeper.

Do people rreally know what 600g for a WHOLE BIRD like? If it is pure breast or meat, it is a bargain. As it is, you are paying for the carcass. In Tesco 1.5kg for a chicken is lovely, 600g??????? oh, dear, er no, DEAR!

Its not chicken though is it? its pheasant and people that actually enjoy cooking get use out of every part of a bird.
It should never be about quantity when it comes to food

And Sainsburys have Phesant @ £5.50 for a 500g bird = £11/kilo, so this is cheap in comparison.
