So the HP 250 G4 CPU is 43% faster for 15% more money.

You should have posted the other specs and why you think is a good deal.
But, its a lot of money for truly mediocre performance (ram, HDD, screen and cpu), no deal.

This is the reason why people sneer at the 'PC Master Race' folk out there. Anything less than £800 on a laptop is seemingly just money burnt...Why buy any laptop that can't run Fallout 4 on Max detail eh?

Have you seen a better spec for similar money? would you like to link it here? mediocre performance for doing.....?
Don't assume everyone uses a laptop for the same thing.

This is suppose to be proposed as a "hot deal" its about par for the price. The OP describes it has "great HP I5 laptop", but is not, its a weak i5.
Nothing about it is outstanding, look at the performance related table I posted, lots of older computers turn in this performance. There are I3's for less will turn in similar performance. IMO is this hot? No.
Is it a deal, well if you think it is?

Is this laptop good enough to run decent games, like Fallout 4 and the like (I don't mind if I have to have the graphics on min detail), if not, what about if I upgraded it to make it an 8gb RAM? Cheers - I'm on a budget of £300 before you start blurting I'm better off spending an extra £500
I'm also deciding what laptop to buy and it seems to me that Broadwell integrated graphics will do OK with last gen games, but not so great with more recent gen stuff like fallout 4.

It scores 3543 on CPU Benchmark, more than the previous laptop deals, so hot from me!

If it's par for the course show us all 5 or more links to other i5 laptops of equivalent or better spec for the same money.

some of the idiots on here make me laugh, they expect everything for nothing.
unless someone links higher performance for a lower price, this is a good deal. nobody is saying this is the best ever deal in the world but its a good deal none the less.

I agree, while it's not going to set the world alight on performance for that price point an i5 is good going, shame they kept all the better deals to themselves.

Does anyone know whether you have access to the memory or the HDD (without invalidating the warranty) to upgrade later?
There is a comment from an unhappy buyer at the bottom of ebuyer product page that seems to me to indicate that you can't upgrade these?
Agree with a lot of the comments on here. If this isn't a good deal, then point us in the direction of a laptop that IS a good deal instead of slagging off deals that members have taken the time to find and post.
If you're half as tech savvy as the rest of us mere mortals, surely it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for you to share your superior knowledge. Or to put it simply...put up, or shut up!

The Debenhams page says 3 year warranty included where as Ebuyer lists 1 years manufacturer warranty. Debenhams could be a good deal if the 3 years is correct.
