GTA 5 is now down to £7 on PS3 and £8 on Xbox 360 at Cex in-store and online. However, buying online will require £2.50 on top for p&p.

Yup, this site is just helping me spend money, not saving it.

no he means kids,
my wife teaches and had to write and invite parents in to shw them what is on games machines and why ratings matter...
the number of 6-7yr olds in her class who talked about how cool GTA was used to really worry her.
The parents who did actually turn up were horrified. A lot of people still don't know what's actually in games and why they have age ratings!

It will... eventually. But don't hold your breath, the game was out on the XB360 and PS3 over a year before it launched on XBone and PS4.

That's a serious price drop all of a sudden. Guess it's because they have 33,000 copies available and they can't shift them at £15 each.
At that price it's guaranteed to become a stocking filler for 9 yr olds all across the country....

Absolute bargain for a game of this scope and quality, and probably about the most technically impressive achievement ever squeezing this game into the last gen hardware.....
That said after you have seen it on current gen or even better, PC you absolutely would not want to go back but still amazing for what they managed to do.

My kids local primary school teacher informed that they could report parents if the teacher believes the child is playing 18 rated games.
Shame majority of 12 yr olds online are yankees

I've noticed that games seem that be a couple of quid cheaper in store than online recently at CEX (maybe not on this game but certainly on lots of others).

That's because they change the prices almost daily and the staff can't keep up with re-labelling.
I've had a few instances where the stickered price was lower, but they tried to charge the higher because the price had since been raised. I like to point out that it's their issue, not mine and that I would like to take the game at the stickered price.

I know that, and I wouldn't even let my kids watch me playing it when I had it.
However, I've witnessed countless cases where a kid has handed the case to the parent in the shop and the parent has then just gone and paid, then handed the game back to the kid.
That's what I meant by plenty of kids getting it as a stocking filler this Xmas.
I'd wager more kids under 18 own that game than adults!

if you ever go into a cex store they usually have a whole row filled with about 30 copies of gta 5, they must really be struggling to get rid of them.

? That's more than the ebay used price. Plenty of copies unless you've got cex credit to sweeten the deal.

But when you buy on ebay you don't have any guarantee.
With CEX you have a year's warranty, so if it's scratched etc. you can just return and exchange.
Good luck doing that on ebay!

I could be wrong but the prolonged use of the last gen consoles lead to a lot of heat on CPU& GPU. I think the PS3 and Xbox 360 saw a lot or RROD, RLOD and heat related issues on the board.
Best advice - keep the console well ventilated and free from obstructions

I agree. It killed my X360 slim version which was well ventilated. Infact ventilation has nothing to do with it but the consoles hardware being pushed to its absolute limits. Pushing the GPU/CPU at almost 100% generates more heat which is only going to end one way. Think what would happen if your laptop/PC was running to its limits?
I used to get freezing leading up to rrod and had no issues with any other game. Same thing will happen this gen when GTA 6 is released as they try to squeeze every ounce out of it.

I couldn't even get it to work on my PS3.
It installed and the prologue bit was playable, but when the credits then started, the graphics went all funny.
Walking was like it was in snow and I couldn't get the character into a car.
Re-installed it numerous times with no success.
Had no issues with it on my 360 Arcade model.... Didn't overheat the console or anything - and that's a model that is best part of 8/9 years old.

Never bought games from Cex. Are the discs always ok? Would I be able to check if buying in store?
