I've just received this and I thought that it would save me having to wait for a huge download (which it has to a large degree), but there's still a 7GB update that needs downloading before you can play it!

whicever way ,youve still got to install the game,
if you download the game your downloading say 50gb,
if you have it on disk containing 25gb,then yes you have to download the other 25gb,but thays half the download time saved by the disks,

so you telling me if you download the game, you dont have to install as much data??
really?
since when??
if a game is 50gb on discs, guess what its gonna be 50gb download
if a game is 30gbs on disc and 20 gb updates, and the online version is 50gb altogether - guess what! 50gb download
you really are simple mate lol

7 discs plus huge update equals more than 7 discs.

peoples posting"why is the hard copy better, youve still got to install it,
google the download size and youll see why,for those with slower or capped internet, this would be better.
it could be delivered before the download finishes!(65GB+)

either way youve got to install it,
but having it on disk saves you most of the download time,
and not everyone has fast and uncapped internet !

£20 for a game more than a year old you can't resell when you finish. Bargain
Its more effort than its worth, if you really need that £15 back you probably shouldn't be buying games anyways

Won't you need to download a huge update anyway after going through the 7 DVDs? I guess it has some advantage if you're happy to play the buggy 1.0 version entirely offline.

agreed. i got the download version of £18.40 or there abouts. £1.50ish for a dvd instead of 500,000 online coins you cant get online to lose to hackers and 24 hours of downloading and the extra kWh that will cost me sounds like a great deal. do people buy pc games expecting to sell them? how much can i get for empire total war special forces edition? the box is mint and i used a no dvd thingy so the disc is scratchless.
Opening post
a hard copy to keep!
Best price I've seen with free delivery,
be gentle with me !
