Saw these in store today, but also available online. These are perfect gifts for girls who want a little more interaction from their toys than Barbie gives, or perhaps you'd like to encourage their engineering skills. This brand is very popular in America winning lots of awards.

I saw these too but as the parent of an 8 year old boy I'm getting a bit miffed that so much creative STEM play is marketed for girls. Since when was making a candle or soap something only girls can do? He loves science and art but the two shall not meet for a young boy... just lego, lego and more flipping lego! They may well want girls to grow up loving STEM subjects but what about boys seeing the creative side of science?
Obviously not moaning about you, OP! Just moaning generally.

They didn't launch it here as such, I only know about it because I have family over there. Plenty more on their website though: http://www.goldieblox.com/
