Great find!
However I do not recommend defy 5 as this model has loose ball bearings in the headset making the fork creak (at least this was the case for 2014 model). After one winter of riding the bearings were demolished, some of them were squashed to flat discsc (I did clean the bike after every ride and no- I wasn't using pressure washer nor did I steam clean the bike). I do recommend defy 4 and the rest of the models

Ok, I got a decent deal, but paid £175 secondhand I think it was for an 2012 Defy 2 (10 speed etc) all in decent nick with anti-puncture tyres that I prefer.
8 Speed suggests a fair 'budget' stance.
Saying all that, should be a decent general road bike if you insist on buying new!

I want to like this deal...but the Defy 4 w/ carbon forks is a better effort, takes the buzz out of the road into your hands nicely. Not voting either way.

Looks great - maybe I should finally replace my ageing 700cc hybrid.
