Season 5 was more of a slow-burner but it felt a bit like a game of chess - characters being strategically positioned in certain places in the build up for obviously larger events in Season 6 and beyond.
And let's face it, the Hardhome episode in S5 was more than enough action to make up for a slow start.

If you want seasons 1 to 5 it's £44.99 from iTunes this weekend. I know it's more but you do get season 5 which is unavailable on Blu Ray
