lol.. You are better off ordering from toolstation for MUUUUCh cheaper prices on 99% of the items, and anything over £10 gets free next day delivery anyway.. The only thing that is decent in B&Q is plasterboard.
Rarely visit that store.. and 50% of the times I visit it I don't buy anything because of the prices.
That being said even with their free delivery I would be hard pressed to shop at that store except to get a £1-£5 xmas tree few days before xmas.

Wicks? Or Wickes? Not pulling you up on your spelling to be a grammar nazi, just trying to make sure we get the correct company - after seeing all those TV ads for "Victorian Plumbing" (haha!), a company undoubtedly named to ride the coat-tails of Victoria Plumb, I am certain there must be any number of Wicks bozos.
So assuming it is Wickes, are all those ads for nought then? Were there big discrepancies between the nice stuff they show and what you actually get? Or do you mean the cabinets were damaged in transit?

Avoid B&Q home delivery , worst service I have encountered to date from any retailer. Would rather pay delivery and buy elsewhere. When your delivery isn't going to be delivered don't expect to be notified by them they just don't turn up . You have to ring them and their customer support contact tel takes about 15-20 mins to get through in my experience . I was given 4 different delivery dates after each time they failed to turn up. Fine if your home all day but if you have to take time off work be prepared to use your annual leave up.

Wicks is the worst mate ... I ordered an expensive kitchen and by the time it reached me it was on par with the one I had just ripped out. Shocking!

You should've offered them the payment and took the sandbags for free!

They offered free sandbags on the night of the floods. Next day, the Carlisle branch had a massive stack of them outside the store. As they'd made the offer, a lot of people showed up to collect them, only to be told that they weren't free after all.

Will be a long time before I shop at B&Q again after they tried to make a quick buck from people after the floods around here (not voting either way though)...

Yes they are rubbish . totally ! ordered the trees that were on here earlier in the week. To hedge my bets ordered one type into store and a different one for home. store delivery failed "due to stock" and the home delivery is on the system for me but when I phone up they can't find it. What a rubbish company at online. You have been warned !

Very bad experience with B&Q delivery. Took money, scheduled delivery date, date past then they said the item no longer in stock. Took 30 days to refund the money. Will never, ever, use them for delivery again

Hmm, it does make some of their current (less extreme) tree reductions better value...
Waiting to see if shops or I blink first. Only a few quid off at most places and I trawled the net hard yesterday.
