All I can say is that if a product doesn't say GLUTEN FREE then it probably contains it!

If you're coeliac it's a good stance to take, the dangers of gluten aren't with the risk.
But the good news is that it's officially gluten free according to the website so you can enjoy it (but not on some 'normal' toast).

Rhubarb and ginger are delicious together. Heat!
And stop the gluten bickering! It said it on the label so rubberbullets is just saying it as it is. This person posts deals every week and I, for one, am very grateful. :innocent:

I LOVE rhubarb but don't like ginger.
I'm happy to eat as much rhubarb as I can, and the bellyache is worth every mouthful.
I wanted to make rhubarb preserve in the summer but all my friends went 'yuck' so I ended up either roasting it off with some orange juice and sugar, or freezing it. I made a few rhubarb cakes too!
Might use some of the frozen rhubarb to make a crumble soon, mmmm.

I suspect that any jam that cannot be advertised as "gluten free" simply has not been tested for compliance with applicable standards. Gluten is a mixture of proteins found in wheat and related grains, including barley and rye. So unless there is cross contamination within a production facility, it is difficult to see how gluten would be present in a jam (until it hits your toast!)

"As one of the criteria for using the claim "gluten-free," FDA set a gluten limit of less than 20 ppm (parts per million) in foods that carry this label. This is the lowest level that can be consistently detected in foods using valid scientific analytical tools. Also, most people with celiac disease can tolerate foods with very small amounts of gluten. This level is consistent with those set by other countries and international bodies that set food safety standards."
(The above obviously applies to the US.)
