On Pc World homepage they were just showing an image for fire 7 inch tablet at 34.99 instead of 49.99. It has now changed as the link was showing a 404 error page, but will be live soon I suspect...

Better yet, buy it from Currys with 10% cashback from Quidco. Taking it down to around £31.50.

From my understanding the Google Play store can be loaded onto this? Also can the likes of Kodi be installed on this.

is this the 2015 version?
I've reserved 3 for collection including one for myself
I was thinking of using this as a dedicated MP3 player, especially noting the ability to add up to 128 GB.
Will it play all the MP3's that I have made from my own CD collection? I recollect reading that they may put a limit on using your own music (because they want you to stream theirs).

Hmm, do I return the Lenovo to Argos for this /kids edition, for my daughter?

The Lenovo runs Android and you probably own 16GB version so more games, more possibilities, I would rather keep it

Currently been reduced to £69.99. I'm hoping that it'll go back down to £50 or less like it did a few weeks ago.

Got one from JL with the 2 year guarantee. Good replacement for an old original kindle.
poor resolution as well, not well suited for reading in my opinion. treat her to a paperwhite.

Gonna have to request an Amazon refund on the difference... only bought one on Tuesday.

Question is would you get this or the Linx 7" tablet for the same cash? I have Amazon prime so this would work great with that but the screen res sounds like a bit of a drawback. Not too bothered about Windows v FireOS generally, both have plus points.

Got this. Main reason is if you have Prime already as it's setup to stream and download content. Screen resolution is acceptable for watching films but it struggles with fine print so I wouldn't recommend as a reader or for news apps. Battery life is good, I watch films, general browsing and get 8-10 hrs. The device is quite chunky. It is is 2-3 year old tech but for the price great value. Heat from me.

She complains already about her battery life (I'm assuming that's down to age and how many times she's charged it) as long as it lasted about 8 hours for reading before needing a charge it would be an improvement.
bobmart10
26 Nov 151#11
Would have thought the much shorter battery life would hamper it as a replacement for a kindle.

Anyone use this solely as a kindle? Mums due an upgrade as she has the one similar to this that's about three years old now.. Maybe two. Is this lighter/slimmer? And is it good to use as a kindle with a little bit of web browsing too (I say a little bit.. I mean minute bit. All she uses it for it to check the lottery numbers lol)
Thanks

Don't know why Amazon would feel the need to reduce this, it's already a steal at £50 and a big seller

Might not be the greatest tablet but it'll be a lot better than the Chinese tat at £50-80 range and you know Amazon will look after it properly too.
Proper steal at £35 that!

As popular with the reviewers as IPhone fans are on HUKD. But for 35 notes? Maybe waybe.
