Not as cheap as the Game deal the other day (expired very quickly) but still a good price!

That Key Radar site looks more than a little dodgy. Who's behind it; well meaning gamers, or a big retailer like Steam perhaps? They require sellers to provide authorisations, so it seems legally they could be playing with slander as they require sellers to provide proof (which isn't specified what it should be). Basically all sellers will be unauthorised until they prove otherwise. Any seller unfamiliar with keyradar will suffer a mark against their reputation. I may be way off but it feels like keyradar is a trying to make itself relevant by scaring punters. Please correct me if i'm wrong, people.

It's just a basic website
There are many sources with lists and info although it would be useful if the publishers gave out more info. I just take the info as a warning:
If you read the keyradar website there are various reasons a website might not be an authorised reseller. CDKeys will likely be selling foreign keys so you probably won't have had any issues. That doesn't make it right.
And the ID check does happen in the unlikely event your account is flagged, such as when you are travelling. But I couldn't trust any company that asked for a scan of my passport, especially one that wanted it to "prove [your] address"
Seen an address on a Passport lately? I wouldn't send a copy of my passport to any company!
(Looks like someone else on this thread got flagged for Passport)

Well basically, Steam is the main platform for the majority of modern games, and typically you can get most new (and some old) games on there. You can buy "keys" from other sites such as CDkeys (the one on this deal) but really it's best to check with a quick google search about if they're reliable or not (CDKeys are).
These keys can be added to Steam and then it lets you download via steam's servers, but there isn't much difference than buying it from Steam directly (apart from a cheap price in some cases!) you're basically playing the game from steam, like a sort of menu. Steam has it's own store where you can buy thousands of games, and it has seasonal sales and weekly sales (where you can get some very good deals!)
There are other platforms such as Origin (which is where you buy/play all of EA's games) but Steam will be the majority.
If you have a broadband connection, typically you wouldn't worry about physical copies as they aren't as common and most just contain download links nowadays. You can buy games with debit card from steam store/resellers or buy steam credit/vouchers. When I want to buy a steam game I typically just use my debit card as it can be saved on there like Google Play.
I hope this helps

Quick bit of advice please guys
Got my son a gaming pc for Christmas, this is all new to me, just used to buying games for xbox/ps4.... For pc do we just set him up a steam account and download games, or best to buy physical games?? On steam can you get most of the latest games? Do I just register a card and buy like we do on Google play?
Use cd keys for memberships for consoles but do they do games too?
I'm good at most things  ..... but computer stuff I'm useless!
Thanks guys xx

Just because it activates on Steam with a seemingly working key doesn't mean the source of the key is undisputed. Stolen credit cards might have been used, and if so, it's only a matter of time before the keys are revoked, and Steam WILL revoke your game from your library. Then you're left without the game or your money. Paypal dispute is always an option, but prevention is better than cure, and you never know where these sites obtain their keys.
They might well be a legit reseller, but take it with a pinch of salt where your keys might come from.

I took a punt before I read your comment - it seems to be running ok on mine, thankfully. I had a lot of screen tearing so turned on adaptive v sync rather than full v sync. Running it on Medium as recommended by the installer. Hope a patch helps you out down the line!

You could also try capping the frame rate with RTSS as well to lower than 60FPS to something like 50/45 to reduce fluctuations.
Have you limited Tessellation level to 8/16x?

I'm very tempted - I have an Nvidia 660 2GB, i7-3770 @ 3.40 GHz and 16GB RAM. Does anyone know if I'll get a decent performance? I exceed minimum specs but don't reach recommended (and I've been burned by the specs for Bethseda games on PC before!)

CDKeys are legit - I bought a copy of Witcher 3 from them and it works fine. Where they get their keys I don't know, but they work fine and aren't in a funny language or anything like that.
You'll have no problems with that, it'll run very well. The recommended specs are way overblown for this game (probably because it looks like **** for a 2015 game but hey-ho).

I have a 760, i5-4670k, 8gb etc. Ultra Textures / Ultra Lighting, everything else high, except Godrays, which is medium but even gamers with GPUs that can handle the massive tanking it does to your FPS choose not to set it any higher. You can also get modded textures that look better than vanilla ones and are also less VRAM intensive! So you should be fine.

Barely playable on my rig, i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz and both my R8 290X and GTX 670, frame drops down to dub 30fps @1080p. Even with all settings on minimum and after countless hours following tweak guides and tinkering with ini files, reinstalling etc. Regretful purchase for me, most people seem to either not notice the horrible laggy performance or their systems are running it fine, but there are a fair number of people who seem to be suffering the same fate as me.

Ill be waiting for the inevitable GOTY, i just started FO3 again with the non-gameplay changing mods (i.e unofficial patch/(lots of) texture mods etc...) and i can't believe how great the game is - enjoying it much more than my first play through all those years ago. Just finished Mass Effect 2 and I would say I'm enjoying Fallout 3 GOTY much more.
