Hello guys Nvidia Shield has gone back up on the Nvidia site. Game and Scan are still offering it for 119.99 but Scan have stated that they may not be able to honour orders once stock have gone. Ebuyer is another option for now.

Great unit got my Saturday. Set up Kodi very quickly. Thought I'd try a game and Batman Arkham streamed really well on wifi connection. Bit odd to use at the start but you get use to it. The only thing I found is I have to turn the sound up on most things.

Just make sure you put up the sound via the remote, I had this when I got mine a few months back, kept putting sound on my TV but realised that by mistake I had slided my finger through on the volume touch sensitive area.
Once you know that is the volume you can tweak it there.

I can't believe how many hot deals for the same product. I got it from Amazon on the lightning deal but not sure I want it. I already have a Fire TV and Steam Link. I'm a Prime member so it's a shame the Shield doesn't allow Amazon Video - and the side loading is flakey.
You beat a good gadget though.....

I did read on another site that their systems went down yesterday maybe thats the reason for no movement.

Hi, I have both and they are impressive.
I do however prefer the Nvidia shield. I know it's a lot more expansive but it offers the android side of things as well as the streaming capability. It can stream your steam library as well as your Nvidia game stream. The added media remote it the also much easier than toggling through Kodi, etc with a joypad.
The steam link is restricted to just your steam library (Whick Kodi can be added to). It's also very impressive. I appreciate a Bluetooth remote will also get the job done, rather than using a joypad to toggle through menus.

It isn't overkill, it's superfast, don't have to side load it as it's available from the playstore, so auto updates, no lag, and all the features of Android

Ordered one from scan.co.uk. great deal if you have a decent gaming PC with nvidia graphics. then u have a 4k media player capable of running kodi and then Gamestream technology that looks brilliant over LAN. mine will be going in my bedroom.

can you not have a great experience with kodi on this *without* the gaming PC?
