Remember when using wall plugs to drill the holes roughly 5mm longer than the plug itself and make sure you knock it into the back of the hole before screwing into it.

They're ok but you must use the correct size drill bit otherwise they tend to spin when screwing in. I find the Uno rawlplugs to be the best value, but at this price why not!

waste of space for unless you like your Coats/TV/Shelf/Bike/Door etc. falling off the wall. If you need to use them make sure it's for a toilet roll holder noone uses

These work fine, you just need to to use a 5mm or 5.5mm drill bit. You wasting your money buying 'posh' plugs.

It's only £1.69 for genuine Rawlplugs. Cheap one's are just plain nasty. Not worth the embarrassing stories of when that shelf fell down a few days after you fitted it. They don't expand when you tighten a woodscrew into them. They split and work loose. Always use a quality Number 8 masonry bit. 5.5 mm. A good one will last you a year. And Number 8 countersunk woodscrews with a Pozi / Philips head.

Used thousands of these with a 5.5mm drill bit and no8 screws and never had one fail.
Thought this was for something much more interesting until I read the title :smirk:

Because it will create a MUCH stronger fixing which is significantly less likely to be pulled out when extreme force is applied. The lip of a drilled hole is the weakest part of the hole, no fixing/anchoring force should be applied there!
Opening post
used myself and not had any problems
great reviews and not a bad price!
