If you have the the 2 days you may as well go for a bit, the hotels aren't far. Queue times in school holidays are about an hour, of kids are at school I would say about 30mins ish although it can be busy with school trips

Forgot to say, you suggested going to the park on the first day, but we probably wouldn't get there until lunchtime, and would prefer to get there in the morning and spend the whole day.

Can you give me some idea as to how long you have to wait to go on a ride - if we go on Friday, 1st July (son's school has a long weekend holiday), a lot of school children will be at school, so hoping it won't be so busy?

You could just go on the second day, why don't you go straight to the park on the first day then check into the hotel after? Also I wouldn't worry about booking parking (unless you want priority) there is a machine as you go in and you can pay there on the day, although I went recently and didn't pay as sometimes the barriers are up, if they were down I was going to pretend I lost it and hope for the best

My son has a long school weekend on Friday 1 July. Just wondering, if I book this up to visit the park that day (on the 1 day + 1 day free offer) and travel up on the Thursday evening and stay at a hotel for one night, will I be able to use the offer and only visit Legoland on the 1 July - not go back on the 2 July - I only want to pay out for one night at a hotel and would then travel back on the night of Friday 1 July. Not sure that if you book this offer - 1 day + 1 day free, that you are obligated to visit the park on both days? Thank you.

Not sure how to do this now. If I book park entry for 1 July and get 2 July free, we would travel up on the 1 July and check in at the hotel. We would be coming from Devon, so it would take some time to get there and would not want to go to the park on the 1 July (after the long drive). We would sleep at the hotel on 1 July, have breakfast on the morning of 2 July and then go to the park for the day. Would we still be able to get in to the park if we did not visit on the 1 July (as per the offer - pay for 1 day + 1 day free), and only attend on the second day of the offer? Also, noticed that you can pay in advance on-line for parking, if I try to do this for just the second day of the offer (the day we would go), would they allow this, or would they only allow me to book for 2 days parking, seeing we would be taking up the offer for 1 day + 1 day free at the park (even though we would travel up first day and only visit on the second day)? Thank you.

You'll need that time to get out of the car park. Stupid decision you have to pay for parking but but tickets are at exit. Everyone leaves at same time and literally 2 hrs later you may get out. Why not follow Disney and pay at entrance, people arrive at different times and there's a long road to allow queuing up to the park. Its not rocket science. We stopped going after one experience, seriously ruined the day. Merry Xmas!!

Exit tickets can be bought at any point during the day - also, there are plenty of staff around with the ticket ready to take your money and let you exit. We have been approx. 10-12 times and never had any problem with either parking or leaving ! We generally do all the rides etc during he day then relax and don't race off at closing time - we have in the past spent an hour walking round the model village etc before exiting - and straight out no bother !

When Legoland started charging for parking, they initially made it pay on entry. The queues on the surrouding roads were horrendous and the Council told them they had to come up with an alternative that meant any queues were within their property - hence the 'pay on exit'.
